It's so beautiful!!! I have been hesitant to buy one because of the growth habit. I have a prince of orange that has gotten so tall and the leaves so long. It takes up so much space lol

Lol I know what you mean! There is only so much room and when they are small they are great bit boy when they get big its time to decide what is staying and what has to go. Or buy a bigger house 🏠 🤔 😆

Beautiful plant! I am thinking about getting one cause I love dark foliage but on some pictures I see the leaves coloured like on yours bottom leaves and on some more darker like your top leaves. Is this because of how mature it is or how much light it´s getting? Will the leaves turn darker in brighter light? :)

Well mine was a cutting so i think as it ages the lower leaves get lighter and i have noticed that the higher light the darker the plant is

Beautiful. I have a Black Cardinal, Prince of Orange and a McColly’s Finale that are these reddish plants. I’m glad you mentioned the leaves being deformed looking due to lighting. I keep thinking they have pests but can’t ever find any. Their leaves look malformed. Maybe that is the reason. Problem is I have too many plants that want the bright light and not enough space for them. I should sell some but can’t bare to part with any. 💚🌿🌱🪴💚

Lol.. I know I have the same problem with high light plants! Grow lights help so much over the winter if you can place them so your house isn't looking like an airport.. 😆 that really is the worst thing about these dark plants is they hog all the great light. But well worth it. And yes trying to decide what plants need to go is hard to do. I have been working on cuttings to sell on Instagram just to get some of my plants lower. Tall plants are an issue to when you have hanging plants above them. As plants lovers ❤ we get it figured out sooner or later.

Any chance you could share what soil mix you’re using?😊🙏🏽

It's really nothing special. I just buy what's at Walmart or lowes that's the cheapest and add a ton of perlite to it so it fast draining and I feed with fish emulsion every time I water . Other than that nothing special at all.. 😊✌💙
