This will be my first year using a planner instead of an online calendar. I love writing notes as well. I will have a section dedicated to business, a personal section, and a Budget Section. I have so far ordered from Amazon an empty planner and a 12 month kit with monthly printouts (the kind you have to fill in) as well as Jan-Dec dividers. I figured I could keep this as a general location for important dates. I then made some a5 Sheets in Word and customized them to my needs for checklists. I purchased a pack of 45 size A5 sheets to print out my checklists (I'm going to use the front and back). I'm unsure at this point if I need an additional section for weekly. I'm also still looking for tabs, I have some ideas, but that's it so far.
I like that you are straight to the point. No fluff! And no likes! Like ya know! Super cool setup and loved the end. All the ideas! I'm a newbie to the planner world and whew! You just gave me some extreme pointers! I'm an artist at heart, love to create and this is something I have enjoyed getting started! My budget was first on my list! I made some really cute envelopes to separate my cash and love love color coding everything! My mind thinks in organized fashion! And I am just loving all of the neat ways people keep their journals or planners! I had absolutely no idea how Huge the planner society is! Ahhh! I'm a subscriber to you now! Perfect way to interact with the world of planning! If I find something good share I'll let ya know!✌️
I’m so glad you found me and other planner accounts. This is such a great community, for sure! It sounds like you’ve started strong and know what you like- keep it up ❤️
Perfect! I love watching planner videos with the actual process (how to's). This is what helps me. I like the cutesie stuff as well, but this is the type content that holds my attention. I really love when it is explained why it is done this way.....Even better. I have navigated toward watching lots of budget videos because they go through the process. If you know others who plan like you and deliver content within their videos please let me know. I want to make sure I am not missing anyone.
Where do you list long term to dos or things that need to be done but not day/time specific, for example going through old clothes, organizing the garage, cleaning closets etc?
They are usually just stuck in my brain because everyday I see the closet all cluttered. Sometimes I write it on a sticky note and put it in my monthly view. Usually I keep a long term list, which I haven’t needed for the last few months, and which I’ll be creating soon once my new monthly notebook arrives.
Shannon Phillips I designate those types of things as ‘projects’. So you could have a page that lists projects, and even categorize them if you want. (Short term/long term, personal/household, etc).
Ok I started “bullet journal” calendar 🤔 my question is this...do you mix up things in your journals/notebooks? I’m confused in how to organize what I’m writing it down...I’m still watching your video tia
As a home schooler have you ever thought of finding other parents who home school . So you can have a couple parents an then specialize in a subject or subjects an have you kids socialize with kids an parents that are like minded . And/or tutoring kids from the local schools for financial gain an more. Socialization of your kids.
We are already part of a homeschool co-op so yes, my kids are in other classes once a week. It’s a misconception that homeschool kids need to seek out socializing, my kids have many opportunities to interact with people of ALL ages and learn to act appropriately with every age group, not just their own age group ☺️
Annie Smith wow I didn’t know there were co op schools . That’s great I went threw the regular school system . I would have loved going to a co op school I have a learning disability An would have really benefited from a smaller classes . An personal touch to learning
This is my first full year with a planner. I learned some things from starting mid year but your video really helped! Can you tell us how you cut your washi quickly? And thank you for the video and your soothing voice!
@@AnnieSmithawifenmother I like the personal size and your Webster's pages video helped me choose that. Lots cheaper than a planner and adding pages a la carte (although I have some Etsy pages to add) but I was debating until I saw the video. My Webster's personal arrived, and it is GORGEOUS and all inserts so lovely.
Perfect timing! I’m setting up my LV Desk Agenda using a disc bound system. I’ve been using Alexis’s from Miss Trenchcoat’s inserts for 3 years. Can you tell me what pen you’re using to write that’s erasable? If it’s Frixion which style? TFS, I’m going to check out your playlist. :)
Just curious if you ever use the left side of the calendar page under the "notes" section that has empty space instead of using sticky notes to remind you to do things for the month. This way you could check them off and go back to them if you needed to without a sticky note covering part of your calendar events or having to move the sticky note around as you add things to your monthly spread throughout the month. I know that it can be just a matter of preference, I just wondered if you ever used this area in this way. If not, what do you use the "notes" section for? Nice vid by the way. Thanks for sharing.
It has never occurred to me to use the notes section of my monthly; I think it’s just too small for me to be drawn to it. Plus I think it clutters the page for me. For some reason, I love the look of sticky notes throughout my planner so it makes me happy to see them everywhere and not frustrated that they may be covering something. 🤷♀️😂
What size planner and what kind do you have or do you want? Did you check out my playlist where I show a bunch of different planners that I have used or reviewed? It can help you decide what might be best for you. It’s in my playlists here on RUclips.
All of my inserts are tagged with links in the description box. My monthly insert is not available anywhere that I know of so sorry about that. Etsy is a great place so search for what you want there and you’ll have dozens of options. I recommend just picking something you like and don’t over think it.

That sounds like an awesome start!!
I’m so excited I found your channel. I am loving your videos! I ordered a TN and am so excited to get it and set it up 😊
Now THIS is true planning!!
I love this! Today just might be a note taking, watching your planner videos, and laundry catch up kind of day! Great information! Thank you!
That sounds like a lovely, productive, relaxing day! 🥰

Enjoyed this . Thank you for the list . Can't wait to see next week's video , love them !
Love your ‘how to’ videos. Excellent work!!!
At 15:02 the sticky note of the girl where can I find those and the grey pen too? Thanks.
Sadly, I don’t know where the sticky notes are from, they were a gift. The gray pen is from Jet Pens- it’s a Frixion pen.

Yes, it is a frixion pen. Here’s the link from jet pens: www.jetpens.com/Pilot-FriXion-Color-Pencil-Like-Erasable-Gel-Pen-0.7-mm-Gray/pd/3685
This video gave me a lot of great ideas. May I ask who makes the Grey pen you used please?
The gray one is a frixion pen which I ordered from jetpens.com. I love it 🥰

@@AnnieSmithawifenmother yes, I can see that and it makes sense to me. Thank you.
Lovely and simple!
What’s the yellow pen you have? 😍
That is a Lamy safari pen. I believe I got mine on Amazon years ago. And they’re also available on jetpens.com.
Where did you get those pen holders? Very cute.
I wish I could remember 😫 I got them so long ago and I don’t remember the Etsy shop. Try searching “elastic pen loop” for shops.
Thank you.
Great tips! Thank you!
I'm so completely lost at where to start please HELP!!! Thanks:)

Do the pens and highlighter actually erase well?
All frixion brand pens, highlighters, and markers erase, yes.
Lovely
