I build and race cars, mostly street/drag for myself but i build anything for anybody. Its a life long obsession passed down from my dad and grandfather, this movie is sacred in my world, its risen above being made fun of, especially after the later entries, but i still go on opening night of every movie with one of my badass muscle or import cars to show out. I was 13 when this movie came out, my dad had bought me a 1970 pontiac lemans the summer before and my uncle took me to the street races later that year. So when this movie and true life im a street racer on mtv came out early the following year, i was hooked, got my license as soon as i could and i was at the races and 22 years later im still just as hooked, i still have the car my dad bought me and we built together, i still race it but shit has gotten very fast nowadays and i got a mortgage now lol but for like two years in the early 2000’s i was the fastest kid at miami beach high lol, nobody even came close thanks to my dad being a professional engine builder and ex street racer himself. He taught me everything and I absolutely trounced all the rich wimps i went to school with lol

I saw this movie in theaters. The cops were EVERYWHERE around the theater. My roommate had a 97 VW GTI VR6, and we had been in it doing over 160 MPH. Times were crazy back then.
Fun fact. The Asian dude couldn't drive a manual and had to learn to drive that black s2000 for that scene. Also the group car scenes are all extras in their own cars. The beginning scene was literally a car meet they had for the movie

The first 3 movies keep it about JDM cars after that just your normal action movie not really about racing at all anymore. Well even part 2 is ehhh not so much about racing but some nice imports in it!

I haven't seen you for a couple years and I was like AH.. I forgot about MR VIDEO! Obviously I sub'd right away, but I was going to write out a comment telling you that I am so happy for you to see how far you've come, and I can see how good you are doing. I told you years ago that you were special, and how your positive and grateful attitude, your humor and joy that you send to me and many others. There were days that i was so depressed that i wanted to k*** myself, but after a few of your videos, I was able to actually laugh and feel happiness in a very dark place. I'm doing a little better now but I honestly don't think I would be alive right now if I hadn't found your videos all those years ago. I prayed to God every day to take away my depression and thoughts of self harm, and apparently God's answer was Mr VIDEO. When you made me laugh while I had a loaded .357 and tears rolling down my face, I suddenly looked around and realized how screwed up my situation was, I put the pistol back in my holster and told myself, ''If I can still laugh in this darkest point of a living hell I am in, I am being ridiculous and maybe my problems are not so bad after all.'' That was the last time I ever held a loaded gun in my hand with the intent to use it on myself. Today's Sunday morning at 8:40, and clearly, God is speaking to me again my randomly making you pop up on my feed. Pretty unreal and I can't convince myself that God is not watching me and helping me when I see impossible coincidences like this right here. I'm 99% sure that God exists and that he is looking after all of us, and he will help us in ways beyond our understanding, and all we have to do is keep praying and asking for help. I can honestly say that I've been in an illegal street race. It was nothing like the racing in this movie though. Just 2 guys settling a dispute about who's car was faster on a country back road at 2:00 in the morning. No crowd, no cops, no traffic.

When they mention Coachella ( where I'm from) I remember we all screamed for a solid minute. Just a tip there is a 2 Fast 2 Furious Prelude that you can watch on youtube . its actually pretty good and worth the watch it shows what happened between the end of the first and the start of the second . Its only like 5 minutes long or so .

DO NOT GO TO ANY ILLEGAL STREET RACES!!! Go to your local race track to see racers race local race tracks feature amateur racers but somewhat organized. Street races rarely end on a good note...some people dont know what theyre doing and risk injuring on lookers. Be safe

Dom's story about his father dying always is so crazy to hear now considering it is damn near what happened to Paul Walker . Almost word for word . In fact I believe the son of Pauls friend that was in the car ran up to the car as it was burning trying to get his dad out .

These movies are great! Yeah they're silly... but they're SO entertaining! It's amazing how they can continue the storylines across many of the movies. I think you'll enjoy them all. 🚗
Ten movies plus a decent spin off w/ characters introduced later on, you'll enjoy the ride for sure

Just a tip there is a 2 Fast 2 Furious Prelude that you can watch on youtube . its actually pretty good and worth the watch it shows what happened between the end of the first and the start of the second . Its only like 5 minutes long or so .

I love this series these movies is how I spent quality time with my eldest nephew fast and furious is our thing,he makes me laugh when he (my nephew)qoutes dom and says its all about Family😂.he's 16 now. DO NOT GO TO ANY ILLEGAL STREET RACES!!! Go to your local race track to see racers race local race tracks feature amateur racers but somewhat organized. Street races rarely end on a good note...some people dont know what theyre doing and risk injuring on lookers. Be safe
The fast movies are pretty fun and entertaining. Personally the 2nd one is my favorite. Hope you react to the rest of the films, you’ll like them
