I keep them in the shower and spray the dial mix on it and let it sit there while I do the rest of my shower thangs and then I use the other bottle with regular water to "rinse" it off. I like this routine b/c it's really important to not touch the piercings, so this is a nice way to handle extra cleaning without any touching.

It really depends on the piercer and how experienced they are. I got my tragus done 2 years ago and it was the easiest piercing I ever had. Hardly no pain and it healed great. I also would recommend a flat back stud in the tragus instead of the hoop they used for better healing. Definitely research your piercer and the experience they have. Makes all the difference.
Yeah great point! Should look into this more and would like to go to a piercing only shop next time around (versus tattoo shop that does piercings). Thanks for the tip!

AAaaaaaaaaah Purdy Lady, I'm so excited to welcome you into the tattoo & piercing club!!!! I've got 4 tattoos & I had 6 piercings but I took out my tongue & bellybutton piercings. Bcuz it was really hard to eat with the tongue piercing. And my bellybutton got infected. But I'm so looking forward to seeing all of your earscape pics!! I just absolutely love you and your 100 authentic self. I have shared you with the 2 most important people in my life who are “curvy” and they will both tell you that you have changed their life. You are doing bigger things than you even know. As far as tattoos , yes, they are so addictive. When my oldest son turned 18 we (him, my husband, and I) got matching tattoos! I just found you this holiday weekend. My name is Jennifer and I was just randomly searching for a kindred "Jen" on RUclips who does curvy fashion and beauty and found you. I was immediately taken with your "realness" and have been binge watching your videos all weekend. I just watched this one far into the weekend but wish I had watched this one early on. Looks good!😊 The only tattoo that hurt me out of my 11 tattoos was the one on the top and side of my foot. And that didn’t hurt per se but my foot kept jumping and twitching. I was so relaxed I too could have fallen asleep. I got 2 snowflakes for me and my Dad behind my left ear and it was the weirdest feeling. It kinda crunched as we went. I got those with glow in the dark ink but that didn’t even last a year. My 2 boys and I are going to get matching ones. For piercings, I have my nose, tragus, rook and lobes done. Love them! I will be 56 the 25th and yes, they are addicting. I love listening to the meanings behind people’s ink. ❤😊
I have lots of piercings and what I did for my healing is warm water under the water each shower for a minute. Healed perfect. Gold bond lotion for my tattoos.

I love your tattoo!! They are very addicting. I have my tregus done the 1st time it rejected so I had the other side done an they were both very painful I actually got lightheaded and dizzy after both times. Healing took forever! Ive had it 20+ years now an sometimes it'll get sore outta nowhere..weird.. I have had my helix which did not hurt at all! The noise I always say it sounds like a hole punch going through card board 😂 I always used a bar of white dial soap on all my piercings & rinse well then aquaphor same thing w/all my tatts

I got my first one when I was 19 and about to leave CNY for a year of college abroad in London. It's now a blob because I chose bad placement. Lol. I have 6 total and each has some special meaning for me. I have plans for more of them because they absolutely are addictive. I had 3 piercings - cartilage done at a piercing pagoda before body piercing was a thing, my nose and 1 of 2 girly part. 😉 I really want the ear piercing that helps with migraine relief, just can't remember which one that is.
As far as healing for the tattoo, aquaphor healing ointment has always been my go to.

I love everything! I couldn’t get a daith piercing either for the same reason. I ended up getting a tragus piercing. I have several tattoos and piercings and piercings are far worse lol. Takes so much longer to heal and to me, they hurt more. Welcome to the club!

💜💜💜 Earscapes Rock 💜💜💜 I have 15 ear piercings - my mom wouldn’t even let me get my ears doubled pierced because “ it looks cheap & trashy” so when I left home at 17 (34 years ago 😂) I went crazy piercing them. This was long before “body piercers” were a thing so I went to Claire’s 😝 & bought my own disposable guns to do my own cartilage piercings. Currently I have a tragus, 2 forward helix, 2 helix, 1 flat, quadruple lobe (both sides) and ow helix 😅…. But no tattoos (except eyeliner) because I could wear the same thing all the time 😂 Back in the day we used hot-water & sea salt it worked great!

Hey, Jen! Ok, so I moved 550 miles away on my own with 3 kids back in 2005. It was the bravest thing I have ever done. For some reason, I needed to "mark the moment", but I don't do tattoos. Enter the tragus. I already had 3 earrings in each ear (up the lobe), my nose (teensy diamond) and my belly button( dangling teensy diamond in yellow gold) I had attempted to get my helix done on each side many years ago. One took, one wouldn't heal. So now we have my "mark this moment" piercing. EXACTLY how you described the tragus piercing was EXACTLY my experience. It did take a while to heal, but it is lovely. I have never tried the chain styles, just my petite diamonds in yellow gold. I may change it up! My hubby loves that one, and maybe i will try some new ear fashion. BE PATIENT with that tragus, it's a lengthy process, but mine is still perfect, pain free, and pretty. The one nonhealing helix was a total serendipitous moment, because as you said, the tragus on one side, the helix on the other creates a good balance. Keep doing all the things to heal it, you will love it when it accepts its landmark status and settles in. Good luck !

I started watching you only about 3 months ago I am 57 but I feel like I am 10 years younger. I just had my knee replaced 1 yr ago and was looking for BBW’s (Big Beautiful Woman) I way 245 lbs and could not visualize myself in some of the clothes that I was seeing on Influencer’s. I have my tragus. I have my daith and I have to say between the two the daith was more painful than the tragus. But like you say, it all depends on the person what hurts one doesn’t hurt the other

I have an industrial, i had it done when i was like 19, am 33 now..and still have it...but girrrrrlll out of all my piercings, that one hurt like a b>$&%!!!!!! A long ass needle goes through one end, to then be pushed through the other😵💫
So i have double piercings, my bottom piercings are gauged, i have the industrial on one ear with 2 helix's. And on my other ear i have an upper helix, and a conch. 😊
I'm 63 and don't have a tattoo. Tattoos weren't a thing when I was younger but I had 3 piercings in both ears. I had strong chubby lobes that could handle 80s earrings but now my right ear lobe is wimpy and can't handle big earrings which is sad. I'm opposed to face tattoos except Asian eyebrows and eyeliner because I think the wearer will be sorry they messed with their face. My daughter has 3 tattoos and even my mom thought they were okay. Just don't mess with your beautiful face.

I’m contemplating getting both Daith’s pierced as I have read that they can help migraine and Fibro pain..
I have Fibro and will try just about anything for some relief even if it’s minimal…

Had the triagus done worst ever never healed right I’ve had the top of the ear done with the barbell back in the early 2000s so now I only have my earlobes pierced and I hardly ever wear earrings

That's my favorite part - when you find a video of a topic that want to know about and then hearing all the crowd sourced info of people's experiences in the comments! I wish I could get more ear piercings, but my ears are only interested in having one hole in them. I had them double pierced for probably 15 years or more and finally gave up on the second holes, because I could ONLY wear real gold in them, and sometimes that would even irritate them. I had a helix (yes, it was called cartilage and I had it done at Claire's) piercing in my left ear for about 4 years, before I finally gave up on that one too, because it was constantly getting sore and infected, no matter what I did. Strangely, I can wear cheap crap in my bottom holes, and it doesn't affect them at all. I've also had my belly button and tongue pierced (took out my belly button piercing when I was pregnant with my oldest son, so that's been about 25 years ago now) and took out my tongue ring the day before I turned 30, so that's been almost 16 years ago now. I have had my nose pierced for probably 15 years, and don't think I'll ever get rid of that. I have never had issues with piercings anywhere but my ears, past the first hole. I feel like the hardest part for me about getting my tattoos has been where to get them. I actually strangely like the feeling of getting a tattoo. My forearm piece took several hours, and I was kind of sad when it was done. LOL I do NOT enjoy the feeling of piercings. Strangely, my tongue piercing was the least painful piercing I've ever had, and I think my nose actually hurt the worst. I could not possibly love more that your husband got "Mr. Realfluencer" tattooed on his arm!!!! That is so freaking amazing!!!! I was literally in tears when you were talking about hearing the needle go through your ear, and it being like a slow motion cardboard cut. I'm laughing again as I type this. I'm sorry that things didn't work out with the piercings like you were hoping. I am so sorry that I am laughing so hard, but now hearing you talk about losing contact with the tragus piercing and your poor husband not even being able to look at you...I cannot even handle it! I'm telling you, I think I would rather get anywhere on my body tattooed, over getting piercings like that. Plus, the healing time is just so much better with a tattoo. Your tattoo turned out so awesome! Yes, my tattoo artist has me use Dial soap like that too. He also recommends Hustle Butter Tattoo Aftercare Balm. You can get it on Amazon. It smells awesome. It's 100% vegan and petroleum free. I love your reasoning for the tattoo so much. This was such a good video. You already know I love you, girl, but this makes me love you even more. I have 4 tattoos, but I'm getting my first one covered up with something much bigger and actually meaningful to me. I'm sure I'll end up getting more after that, because I love them! The wrist is not bad where you got it you get a little lower to the actual bend in your wrist. Rear hand is connected and it will draw tears that is very tender. Congratulations on your first tattoo. I was surprised when I was watching and you got your tragus pierced not your daith onward with the video we go to hear the explanation.

I’ve had all parts of my ears pierced, many I done myself. Once a nerve was hit and remained quite painful until I took it out. Most I let grow back as I came to a point of being past the piercings. I have two tattoos and those too I am over. My second one I went to an artist that came highly recommended. It was very odd both times, the artists weren’t friendly and the second time the artist, guy pulled out a 45 when he saw some people outside the shop. Having a guy wave around a firearm while working on me wasn’t my idea of a good time. Tattoos hate sunlight so mine suffered terribly. Enjoy yours if that’s what you are into.❤

Can't help you out with ear piercings. I had my belly button done, and down below the belt lol. I have neither now. I'm 53 and still want a tiny nose piercing lol

Had to get on my phone to leave a comment. Most times I watch RUclips on my TV. But tattoos are addicting. I think I was 27/28yr old got my first one. Total I have #8. I'm #43 will be 44 in April. Aries ♈.. I want another on my neck. Maybe next year. Thank you for going back to when you first started on RUclips I wish RUclips ladies and guys would do that every so often just to give people an idea of who they are what made them get on RUclips what keeps them there I think at least one side of the Year you guys should do that just do an update of why are there what keeps you there

@jentherealfluencer if the person said your ear wasn't the right size...I wouldn't do it...I did it anyways..mother/daughter/granddaughter piercing together...if you get it, I'd use a nickel plated earring..I have to change mine to be that..not looking forward to the change
Wow!! I have but haven't used it awhile a double ear piercing, but that's about it. My daughter (your age), is covered in tattoos, but thankfully nothing on her neck or face. Both sides of her nose are pierced. They make her happy, and that's all that counts. If you ever want to do more, she has an amazing tattoo artist.
