For many years there was an unpatched method of getting a free student creative cloud account by submitting a malformed jpg for the ID verification since it was done by an AI the malformed image would mess it up and it would auto approve it. Myself and many of my friends had used this over the years. Seems Adobe no longer offers free creative cloud accounts for EDU like they used to so this method is useless most likely finally. Bummer. I just didn't notice they don't offer free accounts anymore for students
Affinity photo is basically photoshop. Its got every feature you'll need and its a one time purchase. Updates are free. Its like $50-60. Stopped using PS cuz of the pricing. Absolutely mad.

Some people are hating on GIMP and I don't know why. It's just a more manual version of Photoshop and its free. I find it incredibly powerful if you know what you're doing. The only downside is there's not non-destructible layers, but they're adding that soon!

I got gimp a couple of days ago and I love it. It's the only photo editor I ever used. It's not too good in 4k because the icons are small but it works perfectly on my laptop. And a ton of tutorials online on how to use.

Yeah this is just suitable for hobby or maybe really basic task. I work in professional 3d modeling and you can't ditch Photoshop at all. Even if for 90% of texturing tasks I mainly rely on Substance Painter/Designer, Photoshop is still needed for a number of auxiliary tasks. No way Photopea can handle batch editing, 32 bit compositing, 360 images editing, proper Smart object management and this kind of production-oriented stuff.. Yeah.. Photopea is quite the same as Photoshop.. of course if you just use it for social media banners/memes or maybe your girlfriend birthday photos, I guess..
@@marcellopaniccia3d741 I work in 3d animation as well. I do think 3d is one of the only places in the design world where you can compete with free software. While I personally prefer C4D and Octane Renderer, Blender is a very viable alternative in the 3D space.

I used a really simple website to create logos for stuff, and then a year with me almost mastering it, my school starts to teach us something with the same format, so I think I had an advantage over fellow students. I recently started using photopea for much more advanced stuff, but I occasionally use the first one for simple things like logos or banners.

Well... as a person who changed from Photopea to Photoshop, I found out that Photoshop has higher pixel quality on the final image. You can really see the difference if you zoom into the images.

In my country is legal to pirate anything as long as you don't use it for moneyary purposes, like selling the pirated key, using it to make products that you'll sell and etc, so basically we can pirate pretty much anything and pirating medias, such as games, movies and series is not illegal as long as you don't sell it.
And krita is a good free alternative for the more drawing side of Photoshop

Photoshop has a lot of basic features that are not that demanding and are paywalled for no good reason. And a lot of advanced features which almost no one uses, so they’re probably not even on the website version at all

when you shoot an advisory like this it'd be handy if you didn't shoot it an ultra low resolution and when you refer to your URL it would be nice if you didn't keep it on the screen for less than the second half. I've been sitting here for three quarters of an hour and I still haven't figured out what the name of the product is or where I can get it from.
Lucky me I get every Adobe app since in Australia most schools have adobe cloud.
I've yet to meet one that legitimately owns any adobe product.
