The relocation of joints!!! That looks so simple!!!! My knee was literally dislocating daily to multiple times daily. I would literally have to have someone help me pop it back in. It was so painful!!!!!!
I stand in awe to see how caring these specialist paramedic’s are. The emotional condition of a patient is just as crucial as their physical injuries and there are alot of Australian Victorian paramedics that should use the same approach to their patients!!
Jess is seeing pink elephants still as we watch this from yrs ago 😝 But, seriously Ketamine is actually a horse tranquilizer but has a lot of great aspects. It’s one of the longest anesthetics to be around and it can help diseases like CRPS -nervous system disorder (which I have) and with severe depression/ptsd that doesn’t respond well to other medications.
I was given ketamine as a 3-4 after I split my head open, and I often react quickly and heavily to drugs. I was shaking and not quite there for ages. my mum was livid
I thought it was so ironic they used ketamine for somebody that was injured by a horse. 😂 Ketamine isn’t really used for humans in the US so I was really like what the world? lol
@- Rebecca - Oh wow. I’ve never heard of ketamine for depression. That’s interesting! And I definitely know depression meds are tricky. In the middle of changing mine at the moment. This is my fourth one. 🥴

These are great. I’d hesitate to work on a chopper due to fear of crashing. I’ve seen too many RUclips chopper crashes. I fly, not often and have no fear but if you increase your frequency I feel you increase probably. I could be wrong but I don’t think so.
I’ve ridden horses too 🐎 I never thought about having an injury like that. I did get thrown and slide under the horse. He stopped and didn’t step on me.
Dr Mike is so sweet, I’m in love. He’s so compassionate!! I love how he let her hold his hand. Calmed her down. That’s what I need. Am I right in thinking the pilots are all emt’s?? I’m not sure all helicopter pilots on med choppers are emts

@@djkitkat2045 Yeah, most riders are taught to get back asap, since the longer it takes the bigger the fear of falling off again and the pain of it gets. I’m assuming as well that there’ll be quite a bit of adrenaline running right after so there’ll be sort of a tunnel vision to get up and back on the horse before the pain kicks in. This is obviously not applicable in situations of serious injury like the girl’s in this video
I laughed when they joked about the doctor who loved sweets and "worried when his glucose goes below 25." I'm in the US where we measure in mg/do and normal is 70-100. I'd definitely be alarmed if a patient was below 25! They'd probably be unconscious 😂
Funny to watch these and realize where the fuq up happened with my shattered wrist. Took about 3 hours before they started to straighten it up, from which I sat 2 hours in the waiting room.
@@MrDiegoc16 Yeahhhh that was 2 hours until I saw a nurse who finally gave me a painkiller and sent me to the x-ray, I was freezing and shaking so bad that my x-rays were shaky. Once the x-rays came out it became a wee bit more of a priority. They've changed the system since so that first off you get in you are assessed by the nurse so intaking isn't three steps anymore (might not see a doctor at all, if they think you don't need one). Let's say I'm glad that things have changed to better but I would be happier if my left hand wasn't useless.

Are you saying ketamine can treat depression/PTSD, or that it's a painkiller that tends to work for someone with those when others don't?

Can an educated doctor please explain to me why they use “special K” as opposed to a pain killer?
“Special K” means Special ketamine
It is just ketamine for short
Person Person I know what it is just wondering why they use that because as you see in some of the videos it can have some weird side effects
They use it to help with pain relief as well as to make sure the injured person doesnt remember what's about to happen as well
