VA ABC supposedly are getting BT Store picks this year…hoping I can snag a Stagg or EH Taylor pick. LAX has a Blanton’s Gold pick…that’ll be a Gametime decision depending how much he charges.

@ i seen the WFDDO on my trip to TN and the 200 price tag was the reason i passed. But i got lucky and there was a Stagg store pick/KC store pick combo next to it for 185
I just can't do those OF blue labels anymore, they are all like drinking lava! and this is coming from someone that likes high proof stuff too. The weller 18.... REALLY hoping I can get a sample of that or a bottle of it!

@BourbonDrop I definitely see your point. Makes sense. I'm thinking about reverting back to enjoying the tastes from the other side of the ocean. A tad bit pricier but from what I am seeing from American distilleries is becoming pathetic. I truly got on the American distilleries wave from watching your channel. But I enjoy brands like SINGLETON, TALISKER, OBAN, and more. There are still some homegrown brands that, at least for me, haven't let me down, yet. Michters, K C , J.W. I am just like any other consumer, I work too damn hard to just give my money away. I think a lot of AMERICAN distilleries add price and drop quality because they feel that they can ride the coattails of their name as well as the fact that they don't realize people are becoming more aware and have better discernment in what they partake in.
@BourbonDrop In regards to simply stretching your legs with international libations, I would aim to do," THE DOUGIE" when we get to speaking about international fun. One brand that comes to mind is called, BRUICHLADDICH. Comes in an aqua blue cylinder container. Wonderful balance of Peat, spice and fruit taste. If I remember correctly, it's between 112-122 proof. Ardbeg is definitely not for a novice, so I boldly suggest a man of your stature should try, if you haven't already. And being that you are a seasoned partaker of a good stick, either one of those drinks would pair well with a Padron or PLASCENSIA or one of my favs, an LFD.

I have so many ECBP and Larceny BP that I am not planning to get any of those this year. Definitely will look for JD 14 and Penelope 17 Light Whiskey. Big fan of Barrell Craft Spirits and will get Batch 37. Hoping Bardstown comes out with Discovery batch 13. 🥃

I hear you! We have all grown accustomed to a certain type of release from ECBP. Don't just start constantly giving us low-ball releases and expect us to still gobble them up at the same rate. 🥃
Ya ecbp & larceny need to drop to 2 a yr bring up quality all those 3+yr drops need to show up w fewer but better and more cases of each. Or risk burnout like many of us just gonna skip the whole lineup
I gotta say, while I enjoy mash and drums channel, I have found his palette does not quite align with mine. He didn’t have much good to say about any of last years ECBPs and I enjoyed all of them, buying backups of the b and c batch. I’ll still probably buy this years releases unless they are truly awful.
