Koenigsegg is pure innovation. Their cars have sported many one-off Koenigsegg technologies, such as lightspeed transmission, and triplex suspension (usually only applied to the rear). On the Attack, they included the Triplex on the front and back suspension, causing you not to be able to carry the roof panels in the frunk like previous models. They pioneered a unique way of constructing their carbon wheels, which saves an immense amount of weight while adding a significant amount of strength and durability. The new cc850 has a complete transmission invented by the wizards at Koenigsegg. Its name is the ESS and combines a 6-speed manual shifting experience, complete with a clutch pedal, with a fully automatic transmission with super-fast and frictionless shifting. The driver can choose their preferred experience and can switch modes at any time. For my last admission, because I'm getting tired of typing and there are about 150 more Koenigsegg-exclusive inventions implemented in production-grade cars, final contributions include the Regera’s 1-speed transmission, the Koenigsegg Direct Drive Transmission (KDD), which was invented and developed for the Regera by the Koenigsegg Advanced Engineering team. Aside from laboratory use, history shows that the idea of a camless internal combustion engine had its origins as early as 1899, when designs of variable valve timing surfaced. It was suggested that independent control of valve actuation could result in increased engine power, the used pneumatics for precise valve actuation. Still, Koenigsegg took the idea and polished it like a fine diamond. Still, it's not ready for primetime production. Sweden needs a lot more companies like Koenigsegg, they're a unicorn in that part of the world.
