Thanks, great video capt! Used your technique last weekend and caught 5 nice kings 24 miles off the coast of Maryland. Can't wait to head back out next weekend.
Captain, did you take the guts off the ballyhoo? Also, what do you recommend when making these rigs with the ballyhoo and preserving these rigs for the next day?
I'm not trying to be a troll or overly critical but copper wire sucks for rigging ballyhoo. I'm almost surprised anybody even demonstrates it anymore. Monel soft wire is so much better. It's a nickel based alloy so it's highly corrosion resistant, unlike copper. It also is much easier to straighten out when you need to re-rig because it's both soft and has a strong tensile strength.

Really informative! Thanks for an amazing video. Can't wait to try this and start catching some big fish in my boat!
Thanks man. Here in Kenya, we use cotton instead of copper wire
thanks for the tips!
THANK YOU CAPT. RICKY,,YOU ARE SO RIGHT ON,,LIKE,LIKE
Great video. Thanks.
I have a heck of a time getting the copper wire thru the mouth it always bends.
Make sure you find the soft spot where the upper lip connects to the head and run your copper wire through there.

Where would you go to get supplies?
