I use a nose flush with warm salt water every day. For years I had a cough and hoarse throat, tried reflux tablets and all chest x-rays showed no chest problems. During a private check-up a couple of years ago the doctor recommended a nasal flush every day and since then no cough, hoarseness has gone and no chest problems since.

In my case a SWF only works with one liter (which is very little for your super long digestive system) when I have prefasted some days. If I do a flush without a precleansed colon, I need 2 liters minimum (4 tsp then), otherwise the little pressure of just 1 liter will not be able to push through your solid matter.
    You're very beautiful btw

I think you're right there Natalie :) I did do a little fast, but I think at the time I wasn't eating so clean so could have probably done with a longer fast before doing this! x

I've done a dozen or so salt water flushes and your recipe is really different than mine. I use the same amount of water, but 2 tablespoons sea salt, no lemon and the water has to be lukewarm. I'm usually totally flushed out within 90 minutes. You used so little salt and the cool water with lemon, I think your body just thought you were having a weak margarita and processed it through your bladder and not intestines. Just my experience. Cheers!

    Salt Flush Instructions
You can think of a Salt Flush as a "25 cent colonic" and more. Where colonics only clean the colon, Salt Flushes clean stomach, small intestine and colon. In general, most people have suffered considerable damage to the lining of the entire intestinal tract- from mouth to anus. Poor dietary choices, gallstones, lack of bile, overeating, etc. all contribute to the deterioration of this precious "internal skin." As a result of this "tissue damage syndrome," cells are challenged by poison, oxygen deprivation, malnutrition or a physical trauma, and they lose potassium, take on sodium and chloride, and swell up with excess water. The presence of high quality salt will begin to reverse this damage as cells take on more sodium. It also promotes a healthy internal pH which will neutralize the harmful effects of parasites and pathogens. The salt will literally "flush"" the toxins away.
    Directions
A Salt Flush should only be taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. Add 2 teaspoons of Pink Salt to 1 quart warm water. Make sure the water is warm to hot, otherwise your results may be disappointing. Hold your nose and down it goes. Try to drink it within 5 minutes. Then drink another quart of water within a half an hour. Do not eat for at least 2 hours and avoid coffee, tea, or anything that may be dehydrating. It is best just to drink water.
    High Quality Pink Salt
Choosing high quality salt is difficult. Please do not use grey sea salt or any other type of salt. These salts are full of petroleum or have been ground with a nickel grinder. See the information for our Pink Salt to understand the importance of high quality salt.
Can I Add Less Salt To the Flush?
Some people feel comfortable using 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt. This is OK as long as you flush. If you do not flush from 1 1/2 teaspoons, this is not enough. Add another 1/2 teaspoon the next time you do a Flush. Using anymore than 1 tablespoon most likely will create nausea.
What Kind of Water Is Best?
It's very important to only use acid pH water for the Salt Flush, otherwise energy will go to detoxing minerals out of the water if alkaline pH or mineral enhanced water is used. R/O (reverse osmosis) is our recommendation. Do not use distilled water.
    What Can I Expect?
Salt Flushes give most people rapid, full elimination within 1 to 2 hours. This may continue for up to 2 hours or more. You are usually safe to leave the house within 2 hours of the first flush. If no flush occurs, this may indicate a person is extremely salt deficient, has internal damage to the lining of the intestines, or has a great deal of toxic body burden. Healthy cells have a preference for potassium over sodium, but when cells are damaged they begin to prefer sodium. So, do not be alarmed if no "flushing"action occurs the first time. Your cells have simply sopped up the much needed sodium. In this case, drink another quart of water and go on with your day.
Again, if there is salt deficiency or toxic body burden your body will hold on to the salt as much as it can. In this case, water retention may occur-which is good. Water retention arises to accelerate removing toxins from tissue. When a body with stored toxins registers the availability of high quality salt and water, it will retain both. The water is held in contact with tissue to leech out toxins. When the water saturates, toxins begin to precipitate out and the water will be expelled.
As a body comes upscale this process can progress into " rapid cycling" where salt and water are retained for a few hours then expelled. This process continues until mineral quarantined toxins are completely expelled. This may create rapid weight swings during regular salt flushing, with the final swing to optimal weight.
How Often Do I Need To Do A Salt Flush?
Traditional Ayurveda recommends the following sequence:
Since Salt Flushing is safe it can be taken any time. It is especially beneficial for those who suffer Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Digestive Disorders, and constipation. After a week or two of continuous Flushing, people report remarkable improvement.
    Special Considerations
It is common for some individuals to do salt flushes several times and experience little or no flushing action. Although this can be discouraging, especially if water retention occurs, it is recommended to continue doing them until a complete flush takes place. Many benefits will come from the intake of high amounts of quality salt. The small bowel neutralizes most common tissue toxins, and prolonged use of high quality salt will encourage rapid cell detoxification- thus improving overall health.
If you have done a few Flushes with little results, you also may consider waiting one month to do your next Flush. In the meantime, add pink salt to your daily dietary intake (at least 1 tsp.) When your salt reserves are high, flushing will occur automatically.
    Coffee Enema
The most beneficial Internal Cleanse is to do a Salt Flush followed with a Coffee Enema.
    Pink Salt
A Premium Blend of Unrefined, Untreated Sea Salts for Everyday Use
Premier Pink Salt is a blend of two premium, unprocessed sea salts from ancient, non-polluted sea beds. This natural, sun dried salt contains valuable trace minerals and sodium chloride. These minerals, undamaged by heat, retain their high energy, unaltered molecular structure which is ideal for helping to maintain the extracellular and intracellular fluid balance in the body. Not to mention it tastes great!!
    The Mediterranean Meets Hawaii
The first hearty sea salt comes from the cool, blue, unpolluted waters of the Mediterranean Sea and is obtained through solar evaporation. Sea water is transferred through a series of evaporation ponds, while the hot, dry climate and gentle breezes hasten the evaporation process leaving behind only sparkling salt crystals, containing valuable trace elements.
The second premium salt is pink Alaea Hawaiian sea salt. Over the centuries, this gourmet, solar-dried sea salt has been traditionally mixed with health-promoting, pink Alaea clay from the Hawaiian Islands, giving the salt a slightly pink color, naturally dense in trace elements. It is known as a sacred salt by the ancient Hawaiians.
    No more fear of Salt!!
A delicious addition to hearty, savory foods
Sodium is necessary for adequate production of hydrochloric acid-- especially for young children
Excellent source of electrolytes, add a pinch to your water
Outstanding as an intestinal cleanser. See Salt Flush for more details
    Why Sodium is Important
Sodium from salt (unrefined) is the primary positive ion found in the blood and body fluids. In a healthy environment, sodium is found mostly in fluids outside cells and about 10 percent inside cells, with about 30 percent concentrated in bones. Sodium works closely with potassium as the primary intra-cellular mineral, which acts as an essential electrolyte and is closely tied with the movement of water. Along with potassium, sodium helps to regulate the fluid balance of the body, both within and outside cells.
Through function of the kidneys, by buffering the blood with a balance of positive or negative ions, sodium and potassium help to control acid/alkaline balance. The flow of sodium and potassium across the cell membranes helps to create an electrical charge that enables muscle contraction and nerve conduction. Sodium is also important in the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach and is used in the transport of amino acids from the digestive tract into the blood.
Simultaneous loss of water and sodium can initiate low blood pressure, whereas loss of sodium alone can contribute to water retention in cells. Balance of potassium to sodium levels is necessary for proper function of the sodium/potassium “cell pump” and proper cell fluid levels.
All Sea Salt is Not Equal
Premier Pink Salt is free of flow or anti clump additives. Many salts are highly heated, have chemicals added or are refined which can damage its chemical properties and reduce its content of trace minerals. Commercial salt is typically heated to extremely high temperatures, over 1,0000 Fº, to super-dry the salt so that it will pour easily and not clump (a dubious advantage). This super-heating deranges the molecular configurations of the minerals in the salt. Many researchers point out the toxic reaction of the body to commercial, highly heated salt. In contrast, natural unheated sea salt reacts favorably in the body, delivering many minerals. In addition, Premier Pink Salt is ground using nickel-free grinders, ensuring that no toxic "tag-alongs" will be present.

I think the idea of a salt water flush actually comes from doing the master cleanse. And you would do it every day for 10 days while on the cleanse and you have to use a very specific sea salt.... grey sea salt. If you don’t eliminate within an hour of the flush it’s just a sign that you have more toxins to clean out really. Or maybe you don’t use the right proportion. Should be 2 tsp to 4 cups of Luke warm water. I usually have to chug regular water in between otherwise I can’t get down the salt water flush fast enough 🤢

You must use 2 teaspoons Himalayan salt with 32 ounces warm water and you need to drink the solution within 5 minutes... I’ve done it on four occasions and it has worked every time

i dont recomand it very often. once a month if u can handle it. the colon needs his bacterial system and u dont want to create a disequilibrium. for me it worked both of times i did it. but i used 3 table spoons of sea salt . natural. at one litre of water. and i drank 250 ml, than did some 10 minuts of yoga, than drank another cup of 250 ml, than yoga and so on until i drank the whole 4 cups, and it worked just fine. depending how tall and weight is you can drink between 1 l and 2 l of salt water. and do not leave more than 2 hours your colon empty. after eat some rice boiled with water and salt and some olive oil and u are done. good luck

@@somyanandwani3420 thank you. I already did this twice. It's not for losing weight. It Is for detox. And I recomand you do it when you wake up. Without eating. And after you flush until the water becomes yellow to clean eat 1st meal boiled rice with a small piece of salt and olive oil. When you prepare the water with salt make sure that the salt is not with iodine. It must be without. Good luck. And the day you are making this process, I recomand u to stay home and rest. Put some relaxed music and just meditate and relax. Stay with urself. See what emotions appear. And just offer yourself Confort and love and a spa envierment. Have fun 😉🤗

I'm sorry but this really doesn't do much if you drink enough water and have regular bowel movements (so she is right and it's not disappointing to see at all in fact she is clearly eating and drinking like a normal healthy adult). People who claim they lost n amount of weight and inches instantly after drinking this are probably on McDonald's and Brownie diet and don't even drink water daily. You can see that by how neauseated people in these videos feel after jotting down a cup or two! If you are used to drinking enough water you know you can down this much easily after a workout session or after hours of being thirsty. It does taste weird on an empty stomach just that! Drinking 2 to 4 cups of water after waking up is a traditional habit in Japanese and Mid Eastern lifestyles. It's not a flush nor a cleansing tool, it's what ou body's nature with being made up of 75% water demands to start it off right every day! All that happens is you'd go pee a lot after this and would have your normal bowel movements - perhaps just a bit sooner than it's time in the day.

A few wrong steps of doing salt water flush :). Never use Himalayan or any other salts. You should use pure sea salt. The reason why is because sea salt has all of the minerals necessary for human body. Over 80 minerals in fact. Secondly, you used to much water. The proportions are 1 quart of water and 2 tea spoons of salt. This proportion makes the water the same viscosity and weight of your blood so when this mixture reaches the kidneys the salt is not pulled out and water is not broken down. Your kidneys mistake they salt water for blood and let pass through into the gut which is where the flush happens.
*** If you do not feel “the flush” aka you didn’t poop, it most likely means that hour body is deficient in minerals. Don’t get discouraged. At least now you’re replenishing. Good luck!

Pink Himalayan salt has over 80 trace minerals. And in fact is quite “clean” as it has not been contaminated. Sea salt on the other can, depending on its source, can be polluted. In fact, some may even have micro plastics in it.

I once did the "Master Cleanse" and the SWF was recommended at least every other day. The issue with doing it everyday is the same as any situation that results in constant diarrhea, which is the risk of dehydration and mineral deficiency. On the Master Cleanse, however, you are constantly taking in liquids, and the SWF replenishes minerals as well as expelling, so you somewhat balance out. If you're not used to consuming that much liquid daily, then a SWF daily could adversely affect your hydration. Second, and this was also an issue on the Master Cleanse, if you consume a SWF everyday, your body will get used to it and the effects will wane. Who knows what's happening with your liver and your kidneys at this point from the retention of all that salt intake. You also need to consider that the flush is not a substitute for a healthy diet, just a cleanse. By trying to flush all the time with a SWF, at what point are you giving your body the opportunity to properly digest healthy food? I wouldn't recommend the SWF more than twice a week, three times at most and that's if you have serious bowel movement issues; otherwise, once a week may be a more regulated approach. If you have regular bowel problems, consider adding magnesium citrate to your diet instead.
