The Herta is the strongest DPS in the game, for one patch. Aglaea, Mydei, Castorice, & Phainon will not fall behind her in damage. They're more likely to surpass her instead. However, The Herta isn't just a random DPS. She's extremely important because of her kit. Even if she gets powercrept, her value would remain since she provides really good buffs to the entire party. I suspect there will be 3 erudition units released later that will complete her team since, according to her kit, her optimal team is 3 eruditions & 1 sustain. Because she can transition so easily from main DPS to DPS-support, her long-term value is solidified. You will need her lightcone eventually for Skill point manipulation when she does eventually get future eruditions that synergize with her. But if you can't afford the LC now, you can get it later. My problem is simply that, I have other priorities for my account that need to be taken care of before trying to invest in another direction with The Herta. I also have a minor concern about the introduction of true damage in the game. So I'm not sure about going for her now. Might wait til rerun.
At least the Remembrance team is already complete, but with Herta it’s more like what happened with Blade and Acheron, we’ll have to wait for their true BIS units. I know that every new character release and every new or rerunning banner has always been calculated and premeditated. So far, Hoyo has shown no rush to release BIS chars for certain characters that are entirely dependent on a specific team-it’s taken years in some cases. I doubt we’ll see a dedicated 5 star BIS for Herta anytime soon. Hoyo seems to release such chars only when the meta shifts toward a new archetype, and like with Acheron, Jingyuan, or even now with Firefly; Herta might end up as a future bait banner during those transitions. I’m not brushing off Herta’s strength or potential, I just don’t want to take the risk knowing full well how vulnerable to powercreep characters are nowadays, considering the fact that it only took two MoC cycle for Feixiao to perform marginally worse than how she used to. My advice is to focus on the future meta, which currently leans toward Remembrance. Each patch typically includes one new character for the evolving meta and another for the existing one. This approach ensures the game caters to all player types, not just one specific group, or simpler term-higher possibilities for more players to spend money.
By the time she reruns, let’s say close to version 4.0, most of us would be looking at the next emenator DPS that one shots a 20 million HP boss at E0 😂 I think castorice and phainon will powercreep her in animation too, she really is just T0 for a few patches imo unless hoyo decides to tone down with the powercreep
I believe prydwens rankings are based of data from the last THREE Mocs, apocs and pure fictions, which is why feixiao for example hasn’t fallen out of tier since she was insane the last two.
the 1.X characters' damage are so LOW to the point that they TAPER in comparison to the herta. but with the nature of powercreep in this game, it's only natural for them to FADE.
The huohuos and Gallagher still doing decently with Mydei made me to change my pulling plan in last minute, I have already to good abundance that wont be the best but can hold it, so I can wait for the next Abundance or preservation easily. I choose The herta over lingsha cuz I dont have Ice weakness dps or subDps, also I only have argenti for Pure Fiction. In long way we will see better teammates for the herta but she is still good a F2P team. So I'll pull Castorice and I have 2 of the 3 main dps of 3.X I can focus on pulling supports or sustains
This moc12 my Acheron and jiaoqiu both e0s0 with e1s1 aventurine and with e0s1 sparkle of all (not even a 2nd nhility) took me just 3 cycles but my firefly team whom are e0s1 firefly e1s1 ruanmei with gallhager and harmony trailblazer took like 6 cycles 😭 maybe it’s just a skill issue on my side lmao…
Im going for Castorice and Sunday. It’s unfortunate that I lost Sunday’s banner and is still pissed off about it. I could’ve pulled for Herta if I had won his 50/50 back then.

Definitely Lingsha. Not having a premium sustain at this point in the game will really start to hurt. HP inflation is real😂. I have Lingsha, Huo, and Aventurine and love all of them but man does Lingsha hit hard. She is such a HELP to any team really. You can’t go wrong and the game will be MUCH easier.

Firefly isn't up there because she deals more DMG than Acheron. She's up there because break teams(including Firefly) deal more DMG compared to Acheron teams

Just get Lingsha then and build her as the DPS, assuming you have Ruan Mei. Otherwise just bench her or something
