I got this CD when I was 19. It had just come out. Shortly after, my first love and I broke up and I was DEVASTATED. Absolutely broken. We met up one night, as I was staying down the street from his parents house. We just walked down the street and met on the corner…under the streetlight. This song breaks me still, till this very day. Time goes on and we are both happily married to other people, but the love and heartbreak from that relationship still hurts a little. The personal connection I feel to this one and how it makes me feel…it’s beautiful and haunting. For so many reasons. So glad y’all reacted to this one. This and “I Don’t Know How To Let You Go”….beautiful and heartbreaking all at once.
Just once I would love to hear Sarah fronting a Halestorm, Nightwish, Within Temptation, or fellow Canadians Unleash The Archers type group, and for once let her rip that amazing range right in people's faces.
An instant favorite of mine when I first heard it. And still is. Her album "Surfacing" is a masterpiece.
The arrangement in this song is remarkable, simply superb.
Mirrorball one of the best live albums, Sarah McLachlan is amazing
mirrorball is an incredible live performance - sarah in her prime - thank you for this
One of my favorite songs of all time
Sarah McLachlan has such an amazing voice. I think she's a bit underappreciated but I'd say she has one of the best voices of the past few decades.

The song Awakenings on Laws of Illusion sees Sarah rocking out pretty hard
