Protip: if you're using the knife, hold M1 (heavy attack) while sprinting. this puts you in a controlled charging state that's about as fast as sprinting with stamina. I think this is the fastest way to traverse in the game so far.

The dagger is surprisingly effective against hordes, which is not something that I expected. It doesn't kill horde units super quickly, but it has enough cleave to control a small group on it's own. That's not the main strength of the weapon though. You gain a massive speed boost with it in hand and your stamina regen is incredibly fast, letting you use pushes and dodges way more often. The headshot damage on heavy attacks and the push attack is massive. As for the autogun, it feels like a light machinegun of some sort. It's extremely inacurrate even when standing still and crouching, and it's not that good at suppressing stuff, which feels wrong on a weapon of this type. It's DPS is amazing though, you can melt a mauler with ease with about half of your magazine to the body. It does really good damage against everything short of Crushers (including the Plague Ogryn) as long as you can control the recoil and the spread.
It's one of those games where you sit down to play it, get carried away and then you suddenly realise it's 4:30 AM and you're drenched in sweat. It's great. As for the lasguns, I don't really like using them on the Zealot due to the aggressive playstyle the class promotes. I'll try to get some footage with a Mk IV Cantrael and the Laspistol at least, but I'll probably mostly be using them once I go back to the Veteran. There's a bunch of videos from the previous beta on my channel where I've been using a Lasgun sniping build if you're at all interested in that.
