I feel like in tennis games especially, playing against another human is so much better because you can hit "behind" another person and fake them out just like in real life tennis. You can't really do that against AI/computer, because against them, you just have to hit the ball as far away from them as possible.

I'm extremely critical and have been really disappointed with recent tennis games but the ball physics on this look exceptional not to mention the smooth player movements....comfortably the best I've seen.
Physics in the game are horrible..
Why would you say that? Player animations are smooth and ball physics are much more realistic than AO tennis or Grand slam tennis...@@WuzzaWombat

Buy and enjoy the game... it's gonna be great fun, especially online when we've all maxed out our two players (one male, one female)...

So are different online modes different match settings? I see some online videos where it’s only 3 games 1 set for a match. Can we pick our search preferences or is it just default settings for diff online modes?

You got to compare it to other recent console tennis games... world tour 2 and AO tennis... this is slightly better with return animations etc...

how could you play online vs GameRiot? At PS5 there is no option to play vs. friends, or where is the button??
None of either players shots are close to the backline. Maybe push forward on joypad?

You cnat just aim for the shot, the first moment you need to move towards the ball, press the shot button and then you aim. That is why the character is moving away from the ball sometimes, and you should not stop moving ever in the game. It takes time for the character to start moving, so you should always move just like real tennis

This game still meeds a bit more work on speed and player stances and footwork, but not bad overall.

What a second match tho boys. Apex, a unsolicited observation...when you are at net, you hit a lot of drop shots rather than a regular passer. You will dominate career mode if you tweak that.
I'm not even hitting drop shots though hahaha
Weird. Dunno then. I just noticed there multiple times Riot was able to hit power passing shots from the net and they were invariably winners. Either way, I'm enjoying the new content.
Unlocked at 00:00. It’s now 02:35am and I’ve decided two things:
1: The micro transactions will kill it.
2: It’s very very ugly. I feel like I’m looking at the Xbox One version not the X/S.
I hope the career mode is half decent: first impressions are underwhelming to say the least

Fun game
Aside from graphics and player animations tennis elbow 4 is still far ahead from this new game, gameplay is better aside from swing volleys that are still missing (that i know of)

You could challenge calls in AO Tennis 2, but that game had problems!
@@TheApexHound Awww that sucks. Maybe 2k would be able to implement it in a later patch? I remember going as far back as Smash Court Tennis 3 on the Xbox360 having line challenges.

Gameplay looks good fun, but the graphics… absolutely dreadful if we’re being honest. Looks like an early PS4 game at best. Plus, difficulty rating for single player should be a slider. Also a really poor amount of IRL pro’s in the game. Hopefully that’s something they can improve over time. Will probably pick it up once the price comes down.

I think the player movement, especially directions changes along the baseline is way too slow. The reactions is waaaaay too delayed. Where's the floor sliding?? Looks like the players are just giving up! This needs to be addressed for a realistic experience.

All the movements are in exactly the same as Topspin 4, every shot is the same. It’s great that we have a new topspin but it would be nice to have different players actually with their styles, Berrettini and Medvedev have exactly the same strokes in this. It’s just a cosmetic update to appease us desperate fans and to make more money from old rope 😢
Guys i dont want to ruin the "positive energy" but the ball is tooooo slow. Its really irrealistic. Looks really off.

it's the same as TS4 which has lived on for a decade... watch two good players play. Serves are too slow from AI though.

Another tennis game where you’re a statue and have little control over your player’s movement? Guess I’ll have to go back to Hot Shots Tennis again 🤦♂️(ok I played it, it’s not that bad)
You can set it so you move the player, but people prefer assisted movement because it helps with the gameplay. Also, before leaving something negative, research and don't just assume stuff. Again, YOU CAN MOVE YOUR PLAYER, but people like to use assisted movement! Thanks for reading.

Top Spin 4 is the best tennis game ever so far (hope this will be even better gameplay) and the movement was completely assisted... also if you move your stick to the complete opposite side of the ball while you're still 5m away from it then it's on you, not the game...
But of course god forbid it could be the player's fault, right? The player does everything perfect all the time and that stupid game is ruining his godly perfection... 🙄

*full ace tennis. It's amazing to play on PC. I tried 2k25 and it feels VERY heavy and slow, and on rails at times... after being used to full ace full control.

@@Qwezeerss-dj9dwthis was made by a multibillion dollar company.. and it looks a mobile game with unrealistic game speed and a vacuous career mode that only has 80 players making up the tour when there’s games out there with not even 1% of 2k’s budget creating tennis games with a complete tour with 1000 players and the entire tour schedule. Don’t even get me started on the poor roster..
And you look like you have never had anything to do with game development and/or coding, and barely know what a CPU is, let alone tennis hahahah
