    What they designed there is the building blocks for artistic expression.

    Too much about the object, doesn't say if it's comfortable which would be the first requirement.

    • @Toni_Snark
      @Toni_Snark 9 месяцев назад +1

      No, the first requirement is to be able to plant your butt on it.

    • @CaboLabsHealthInformatics
      @CaboLabsHealthInformatics 9 месяцев назад

      @@Toni_Snark you can plant your but wherever you want, and it can be uncomfortable. The author doesn't talk about the basic requirements, doesn't mention if the chair is comfortable, doesn't show anyone sitting on it, they just talk about the design, materials and the final object. They are in love with their designs, even if they don't work for the purpose.

      Im a furniture student i know its not my place but i have join most talk and our lecturer also said that comfortable not the first requirements because there is a chair designed not to be comfortable. Because its used for a while like 1 or 2 hours like u can see outdoor chair or in exhibition or like waiting chair. Mostly comfortable applied for working chair like at office or gaming or car chair something like that

    How many chair designs need to exist? It’s like an ego thing for industrial designers. I studied industrial design at uni, but realised it’s all just a people trying to show how much “smarter” they are than one another . The design of this chair doesn’t improve its function, nor does it have balance visually. So what’s the point?

      Yes, why should we want different things, right? Who cares about originality, character and all that. You do you, don't fall for the scam of wanting beautiful, inspiring things, or never try to be creative, it's pointless.
      -It's sarcasm.

      @@kalebeguilherme380 And you wonder why the ice caps are melting. The days of thoughtless consumption is over. There are already a million chairs. 99% of them are uncomfortable after 20 minutes. Instead of wasting time, resources and money on more useless inanimate crap why not go and experience nature have meaningful relationships or read a book. You might actually learn something.
