Hi Danny. Enjoying your vlogs, thank you. The ban on smoking in cabins is most importantly to reduce the risk of setting fire to the ship. Smoking in undesignated areas is an extremely antisocial practice and we have read of instances on ships in the USA where smokers in cabins have been asked to leave the ship. As regards your dirty cabin - as much as we have sympathy for the lovely overworked room attendants, there is really no excuse for this. We returned from an 18 day cruise on Aurora three weeks ago and Norovirus was rife. My wife was a victim, as was a large percentage of the passengers. Our cabin wasn’t particularly clean when we embarked and despite disinfectant wipes which we always take onboard, it didn’t stop the virus. My wife was very ill and was confined to the cabin for 36 hours, missing an excursion that we had paid for. Whether P & O are having difficulty with finding enough staff, who knows - but they need to step up their hygiene policies with more diligent cleaning of cabins and educating passengers on washing their hands (particularly before they use the Buffet). This hygiene problem is a p&o problem there has been a sickness bug going around on ventura for a few weeks now it has been on the BBC news. I have just had a fantastic week on msc virtuosa and it was spotless and no one was ill.
The room service was really nice on ventura last year i had the garlic bread ( to die for ) pizza and chips and just watched a film because I was shattered after far to much walking in port.
Hi there, I'm not sure if you would know this but I'm going to ask in the hope you do 🙂 would my 13 year old son require a full suit with dinner jacket for formal dining or would a shirt, tie and trousers be acceptable?? Hope you can help, loved the vlog 🙂 thank you x
Yeah double check car too. Oh no No beach house it's one of my favourite speciality diners. As for the smoker...shame on you, I would have reported it as it goes against policy rules. I'd have no problem reporting it. Looking forward to the other vlogs xx
How exciting. We are thinking about doing a P&O cruise next year. The water does look beautiful and blue. We love a formal night but it is a lot easier when you can just chuck on a dress. The buffet looked really yummy. It looks like you had a really relaxing embarkation. What a shame about the cabin being dirty and the smoking! They normally have designated smoking areas so its just a bit rude to be making everyone else smell the smoke xx
I was on Ventura last week , I don’t smoke and I woke up to a load of tab ends on my balcony (overlooked balcony ) Anyway I went out to Porto for the day and came back to a smoking warning on my bed 😂 I was not happy at all
This is why smoking on your balcony is banned what if you door was open it could set fire to your curtains or carpet it just pure ignorance by the smokers.
@@craigweightman799 yeah , it was a bit strange as there was a small pile of them too , almost like from the next cabin they shoved them under with there foot but never saw anyone smoking around me or someone above was flicking them down and landing exactly in my spot . For that reason I wouldn’t get an overlooked balcony again .
