Enjoy this special video of highlights from the evening! Inspired by the Year of the Dragon, the ballroom was transformed into a breathtaking room of continuous curved dining tables that represented the mystical creature from the Chinese zodiac.
The evening featured two guest artists: Jameson Yap, a Malaysian contemporary Chinese calligraphy artist who blends tradition and modernity in his “River-stroke,” which was grandly displayed from floor to ceiling at the reception, and Hong Kong’s veteran Mahjong craftsman Uncle King from Biu Kee Mahjong, who demonstrated his craft of hand carving tiles in a charming illustrated depiction of his storefront.
A spectacular lineup of performances included Canadian singer-songwriters Wanting Qu, Tyler Shaw and Alex Porat, and Sean Jones accompanied by The Collective, with a dazzling on-theme Steinway piano in pink. Culinary teams from diverse parts of the city created an elevated night-market experience spanning both the ground floor and 3rd floor, including Chefs Eva Chin and Trevor Lui’s Fat Bao, nostalgic savoury and sweet dishes from Petit Potato, modern twists on the classic milk tea and red bean milk with egg waffles from Golden Bubbles, a Dan Dan noodle bar presented by the Park Hyatt, and Master Pan who handcrafted Dragon Beard Candy on-site.
Together, we will continue to support our community through arts, culture, and philanthropy. Stay tuned for our initiatives this year!
