I used 3 jaw puller to take oem style bushings. You'll need to put a socket in the middle for the 3 jaw puller bolt to seat against, otherwise the puller will wobble.
Ditto, 3 jaw puller, held the jaws closed with one hand, used the air impact with the other, zip zip, off in seconds.
I know y’all’s comment was a WAY WHILE BACK, but does it matter what brand the 3 jaw puller is? Or what brand of 3 jaw puller brand did y’all use ?
@@robbya6113 doesn’t really matter the brand. Can use a generic one I guess. They usually rent them at autozone, or if not you can pick one up at Harbor freightz
.
love the video Nathan. I have found getting these bushungs off is easy using a three prong gear puller. neoprene bushings are a good option but I've found that they make the ride a little harsh for my liking - when you're an old bugger like me you'll appreciate the comfort of good old rubber 👍
Omg, if I knew it was that easy I would have done it myself. Need to quit being so intimidated & lazy and do it right and save $$$! Thanks

How those poly bushings are holding up??
Great looking product just in time for my replacement, thanks for uploading. Which control arms do you recommend? Thanks!
That does look like a great upgrade.
Not feeling too confident with how loose that looked on the control arm. Recently did mine with Lemforder bushings on an XI and it took about 40 minutes per side to remove, press out, and reinstall, which isn't too bad for every 75-100k.
I have used those bushings before and here I get 30k if lucky and slop when you hit bumps even when new, these are taper bushings so when you slide them up they tighten, although your xi has thrust arms and hold up a little linger than this setup
Nathan, whose RED polyurethane bushings are these? I can't find a link for them.
Seen guys use a torch to burn the rubber out of bushings when stuck. Stinks but works.
Now, it's been 5 years, any squeaking like everybody claimed? do you still have these on? how is the ride quality and longevity. Don't just install these kinds of things and call it a day. Most things are good after fixing it's the follow up and updates that matters.
Hi Nathan, how are these bushings holding up? Are they staying in place?
Exactly what I needed to see you are awesome💙😄💕😄💕😄💙
Thanks for watching Jamie, front wheel bearing video will be out tomorrow
You're
Nathaniel, I used your vid to replace my oil dipstick tube seal... noice.
Good to hear, glad it helped
Have these bushing start squeaking?
Red busch is to hard?
What tire size you have for the custom wheels on you beemer?
Another great video! I like the extra tips you threw in about what signs to look for
Hello Nathan, can i get a link to the control arm bushings i checked your links and it doesn't pop up
if the bushings and ball joints are bad would there be any benefit to just swapping the bushings first to see how it goes and maybe do the arms later.
or would the problem in the ball joints become worse with new bushings.
might as well do both otherwise you’ll be back in there doing it again.
awesome i have these waiting to install.. along with subframe bushings, reinforcement kit and sturt reinforcements cuz yes mine has a crack in the subframe :’(
How did those polyurethane bushings hold up?
dironiza reyes
In the two years they were on they were great 👍🏽
unfortunately my car got recalled due to the airbags
@@mike.135i ,
Awesome thanks for the reply. What happened after the recall? Did they repo your car or deemed it unsafe? Did u get compensated for it? They send me recall letters for the airbags but I haven't gone to the dealer yet
dironiza reyes
here in Australia, they sent the recall letter and assessed the car (they paid for towing it to the dealer) my airbags were faulty and at the time BMW had no parts to fix it and didn’t have a time frame of when parts would arrive. so they took my car and paid me compensation of the value for the car
Nathan's DIY Garage Do you know where can I find these for my e90?
powerflex website
How are these holding up?
Do you have a link ❓ , how are they holding ?
@@DSTREETMEDIA google
they slipped out on me the red paart
WD40 it first, then rotate it with a screwdriver.
very good
Thanks Nathan another awesome vid
Is it worth putting e46 LCA's on an e36? I have a spare set read about people doing it.
I think that will give you extreme camber
and weird angles... good fer drifting though.
thanks so much
Seems so loose it might just slip on out.
