Always a shame to lose one after birthing, she was likely stressed from all the moving. Glad you were able to save the fry - I would suggest switching to sponge filters. HOB aren't necessary and always run the risk of eating fry. Love those platinum mollies!

If you find a fish dying, gently pump the tail with thumb and finger. This is like giving it CPR. I have saved three fish who were nearly dead. Pumping the tail jolts them back to life. When I was a kid in the 1970's, I watched a fish dying and saw other fish coming up to it and pressing on the tail while the dying fish was laying on a rock. After the third fish pumped it's tail, the fish started to swim around the tank after a rest. I have never forgotten it and tried it on a dying fish and it lived then done it to a Betta female the was delivered almost dead and she lived and also done it to a Molly that was dying.

One of my pregnant female swordtail had died last weekend. And her death is so brutal becuase her belly together with her fry inside her were eaten by her swordtail mates. I just discovered it in the morning. By the way, R.I.P to your mama fish.
I can't find words... The coincidence is amazing, my guppy die today just after give birth to 12 babies and this video just appear for me after I look on how to take care of guppy babies....
