We need more videos like this. I know teaching isn't for the faint of heart, but there are so many videos about why people should leave the profession and not enough showing the good thats still in the profession.

I teach k-8, and the most amazing moments are when I can sit at a table with my middle schoolers and talk to them like real people! I think of my students as my friends and it sounds crazy. But I spend everyday with these kids, they are my best friends. Def been missing them during covid

Totally agree with all your reasons - teaching is so undervalued as a profession but I love what I do.

It is so refreshing to see a video about the positive aspects of teaching! There are so many videos just focusing on how much people hate the profession. Even though they bring up valid points it is just nice to hear the other side as well!

I love building relationships with my students! It amazes me how cool and inspiring my students are when they talk about themselves and their lived experiences. I'm starting a teacher residency this fall and I can't wait to meet my future students and start building those relationships.

You are such an inspiration. I found your channel in January of this year and ever since I'm hooked! Your love for students and your career is beautiful and as an aspiring educator I look up to you! I work with young children and sometimes contemplate working with high schoolers but regardless the age, teaching is teaching and it is amazing! Thank you for your videos, your advice, and your motivation. God bless you!

Yeeeeessssss building RELATIONSHIPS is DEFINITELY the BEST part of teaching!!! I said the same thing in my teacher tag video.
I think more content is retained when the kids feel good about you and your class!
    Love the video!!!

I needed this video so much, Amanda! Thank you. Your passion for teaching is positively contagious. I've been having doubts if I should continue my teaching degree because many people are saying that it's not a financially enriching job. But watching your videos reminds me why I took up my course in the first place.

So true! I always thought that I wasn't a creative person because I thought being creative is being original and or whatever, but that's not the case. I liked how you mentioned how being creative can easily be done by creating your lesson plans. I remember student teaching and a lesson plan wasn't doing so well and I had to think of ways to make it better and you already know that teaching changes all the time and you have to come up and improvise a lot! That's being creative!! Thank you for the tips!

Thank you! Im going back to get my masters to teach and I’ve been watching so many RUclips videos. Most videos make me feel anxious that I won’t be able to handle it or won’t like it, but this video gave me some comfort and encouragement to keep pursuing becoming a teacher!

I love teaching because children's creativity is endless. And they say such cute things! Just yesterday a student looked at my ears, kind of cocked his head, and said to me "you know, my ears are cuter." 😆 He's not wrong!

I couldn’t agree more 🙌🏽🙌🏽. Thank you for the reminder; that having a relationship with the students really help you understand their perspective of things and also fit into their shoes. Being able to have a conversation with the students does make the teaching more fun! I also really like the part where you mentioned the importance of education, how it is important that we keep educating ourselves everyday.

Hi, thank you for sharing! I would like to be a primary school teacher. Because when I first walk into the classroom, I was moved by children’s passion. When they share their favorite toys, trips, and routines I can feel their happiness and passion for lives. I will also feel happy for them.

I haven't even watched the whole videos yet but thank you for posting this. I want to become a teacher but I have been discouraged seeing so many people quite their jobs in teaching. I wanted someone to fight for me even when it was hard so that is why I feel called to teaching.

    • @BlackJezuz69

If you like teaching a subject and you are good with children and teenagers, such as parenting skills, you'll be an amazing teacher. Also, if you feel as if you don't quite match with the students in the school, switch to another school. For example, I was teaching in am inner city school, which was very fun, but generally I feel more at home when I'm teaching vocational small town classes. So there's always ways to tweak your environment so you feel more motivated and ambitious.
      Good luck!

Sometimes it feels frustrating, and right now it feels really sad and overwhelming... but it's good to be reminded how much fun it is. Thanks for the reminders! I'm looking forward to more content from your channel! :)
