Despite being only 3 months into 2013, Ford decided to do a very early release of its 2014 Mustang. Differences between the 2013 model are slim, but there is no denying this is still the best Mustang Ford has ever produced. Look for a new generation for 2015 so for the Mustang faithful not ready for the new model, buy your 2014 model before it's gone.

is it me or does every high school douche want a big truck like a raptor instead of a mustang gt. I soooo much rather have a mustang any day than a truck that costs $10,000 more for something that your not even going to even use for its main purpose.
true. the raptor is sick, but unless you live near offroading terrain, it's a waste.
i was once this douche lol. I got a 2013 tundra and now in a car club, and trying to get rid of my truck for a gt/cs, i'd be the only student with a gt besides the health teacher lol. entering my junior year, by senior year i should have a mustang. going for a '14 gt or gt/cs! wish me luck!

I have a 2013 GT/CS exactly like the test car. 106K miles and as good as new. His review of the car is spot on. Just think how much money you would save by purchasing a 2013/14 GT/CS (around $16K to 22K) and still have a beautiful performance car that gets better than 21 mpg!
I just got a 2014 mustang a couple weeks ago. I like the 2015 mustang, but its something about the 2014 I like best.
Being 6'5" with a bad left knee, I am kind of glad they offer them in autos :)
I have one, bad ass car. Mine is the 6 speed standard though. It has track apps, 3 different steering options, adjusting amber and halo options, built in subwoofer and amp, and so far I managed to get it to 140mph before having to slow down for traffic lol.

2015 makes this one look old. I saw the 2015s at the auto show and they look fine. most interesting looking car at the auto show was the 15 mustang. But I wouldn't buy either one of these, there's more to life than being obsessed over one make and model of car. I don't really like how this gt/cs looks anyways but to each his own I guess. There's other stuff out there if you just step outside and look.

i don't like the looks of the 2010 - 2015 mustangs. I mean they look good as new cars, but not as good as the 05-09. Even Steve Saleen's daughter still drives her S197 from I forgot what year probably 2007.
It's all about styling.

If I bought a mustang, it would be this exact car, with a manual... i love the color combo and that glass roof is awesome.
The 402a package is definitely the way to go when optioning up a Mustang, or the package to look for when buying one used now... Just my opinion anyway.

Hate to break it to you, but GM will be going turbo V6 in the Camaro one day as well. They just announced a new 3.6L twin turbo in the CTS that will trickle down to other products soon.

The electronics in the engine just kept it from revving up at the initial stab of the throttle. Most likely to do with emission control.
I bought a manual 2014 Mustang GT premium in February and I love it. It's always in sport mode 😂

I have a 2012 5.0 auto and there is a delay when rolling and yeah it wants to upshift too early (for gas mileage), but from a dig this car will beat all but the best stick drivers through the 1/4 mile. And once you get it tuned it helps a lot with quicker shifts. And when you are sitting in bumper to bumper traffic you are damn happy to have the auto. With that said I do miss the fun of a standard, but everything in life is a trade-off.
why can't they offer something like a dual-clutch transmission for this car? They do have good PowerShift transmissions and they should put it into the mustang.
I was amazed that they even offer paddle shifters. I saw one with them at the auto show. But meh, they do things so late with this car.

the 5.0L was actually brought back between 2006 - 2007 for the Saleen cars. Ford ended up using those blocks for the first 2010's with the 5.0L

Saabkyle has great videos but this dude gives you more information about the car, especially the interior quality.

I've rented them 3 times and their just wonderful to drive.
got my 14 5.0 before 6 month ago and i felt in love with this car
$2000 well worth the glass roof. I love mine. Since it was created in 2009, only 9% of all mustangs made have it. It's the rarest option equaling higher resale value.

Surprisingly, most people who buy the CS model choose to get it with an automatic... we're not sure why lol
Good review. I was surprized at how much I liked the new interior of the new Mustangs. It feels much better than it looks. The Camaro interior LOOKS better, But feels more cramped. And I am slim. Still, think the Camero is the better car over all. Way better handling.
The mustang looks beautiful in white. Not a big fan of white cars but it makes this mustang look really nice.
Very true. This is the last year for the 'all-american' mustang - the 'big' mustang. The last Mustangs:
- not built for Euro road/space dimensions
- not built for RHD
- not built for Euro pedestrian and animal regulations (which are more stringent than in NA)
- not built for operation in a limited fuel area.
It is the last of an era - the last w/ the infamous Ford 8.8 rear.
But I am EXCITED for the 2015 models...

Haha My Uncle has a 2011 Mitsubishi Challenger which is a 'Large 4WD SUV'(I think it's called a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport for you lot in USA) and I keep getting confused when you say 'Challenger!' Nice Review! The 2015 refresh was a big improvement for the ol' Mustangs and it's nice to see these beauties in New Zealand after a long sad absence
I live in a big city with allot of traffic. My 2011 cs is a daily driver and i bought the automatic. They get better gas mileage and are actually a little quicker. Test drove both of them. I'm also a little older now and prefer the auto trans. Love this car.

im 6,4 i just got a 2014 mustang. its a comfortable ride. challenger will be more space, give it a test drive, i enjoyed it.

IRS actually IS a big chasnge considering the only other mustang that has had an IRS is the 03-04 Cobra. The GT500s dont even have IRS so the fact that they're doing on the GT is awesome.
I can't wait to have this on my driveway sometime soon.
Also you should have add when you were revving that's on a cold start. If you would have driven it around the block than done the rev clip it sounds 100x better with a deep V8 tone.

I'm not feeling the 2015 model all that much...I think if I were to buy one...I'd opt for the current generation...I absolutely love it.
Granted I may change my mind on the 15' once it starts hitting the road this fall when I see it in person...but right now I am not all that enthused by it.
I live in Southern Ca, I see LOTS of GT 500's and GT's in an around Beverly Hills, Laguna Hills, and in the greater LA area. I think alot of people are buying the 2011+ Mustangs now because they will be the last ones to look like Mustangs before the Eurostang arrives next year.

Nice and clean review. Straight to the point, im in the market for a 2013 or 14 5.0 im having a hard time choosing between a 6 speed manual or automatic. Keep in mind i do live in the bronx roads are not great and traffic is terrible.

I find it funny that in your test drive you passed a Chevy dealership, and there was camaro on the lot beside the road... It was funny because you were comparing them during the video and then one just popped up.
I'm planning on my next car when im straight out of college, currently have a lancer ralliart , can't wait to move into the mustangs. Looking at either a brand new loaded with options GT premium or a used GT500

drove the camaro and stang. camaro has definately more legroom and wider adjustable seats plus telescoping steering wheel. im 6.5 and yep i fit in a camaro perfect but not in the stang. anyway i would buy the stang because i find its interior much better and all day driving is easier. all in all more comfortable! the trunk opening is in the stang bigger and much better, perhaps not as deep as the camaro´s.
its true 2.0l turbo is getting released in England in 2014. so it maybe the last time we see mass production of 5.0
What I was saying is that you compared Hennessey's Ford GT, which was heavily modified, to a Bugatti Veyron, a stock car meant to go fast over a long period of time. The Veyron was not built to break the mile record, it was meant to break the speed record. Hennessey's Ford GT was designed explicitly to break the mile record, which it did. It was a very unfair comparison.

tbh, are you going to touch the leather while you driving?, and touch it all over the car? and how many time would you touch all there p[arts while driving? the only places you will touch while driving, are, seat, arm rest ont the door, arm rest on your right hand area, and sterring wheel. you a re not going to touch anywhere else and talk to yourself like wow leather. its useless having leather on anywhere else other than the parts i mentioned here. even my 96 civic dx have soft padding everywhere. if you want all leather interior and fancy then you should slap 4 wheels on your home and drive it on your couch and have a cup of coffee with it, or get a mobile home. with any car its all about the driving, and driving experiences, not look around if i have a leather interior, plus most people don't even polish or know when to polish a leather interior lol, want something nice but don't know how to take care of it. like waxing, only a car lover do that. most people just washing it not wax, wax protecting the pain an keep new forever.
I think this was filmed in northern Virginia where I grew up that was cool to see.

You are correct, an automatic is point and shoot, all you do is stall out to the RPM's right before your tires spin.
2015 looks awesome.... And has an IRS.

SFBay69 People. they changed their mind on the 10-14 before (for dumb reasons, the car still looks the same as it did when it launched which means someone probably got fired) and now if you look at the forums lots of people are nuts over the 15. Personally I think the 15 looks plain in black and at the auto show the orange one looked fine. But there's other manufacturers out there that make cars so who really cares? I think people are too stuck on this one make and model and don't even realize it. I know two people whom have bought V6 Camaros and other people own cars that aren't even sports cars (or if you are critical about that term, 2+2 or whatever you guys are calling these cars now).
If the new mustang doesn't keep the boxy look, I'm going to be slightly disappointed. The thought of a turbo v6 excites me, though

Well that's the crowd pleasing thing to say, but in reality, the auto will beat 90% of standard drivers down the 1/4 mile and be 1000% more comfy when in traffic and in average day easy driving situations. I've had standard's all my life, including my previous 500HP Corvette Z06, but as you get older your priorities change. Glad Ford offers an auto on this iconic pony car!

For the money, american sports cars are impossible to beat. I own a 2013 GT Mustang and love it. It's all I need and then some. With a tune and CAI Im running low 12's high 11's in cool weather.

Good question. It comes to styling, for the most part, and the difference between a solid axle and an independent suspension. I like the solid axle, but many will want the cornering ability of the independent rear end. It's all about how one drives. I like the retro stile, but the new, curvier design will appeal to new customers, hopefully, in the European market. Of course, if the rumors are true, there will be a 500 HP engine. So, it is what it is
Go look at the 2015 model. Your answer is right there.

The huge metropolitan areas prevent manual drivers from enjoying cars due to high volume traffic. I'm pretty sure NYC is the same. Your feet get tired after 3-5 hours in rush hour traffic.
Well what you should've said about 2014 is they wanna keep it classic as the side scoops trying to keep as a 1999-2004 GT and the front end kept a mean look head lights which is nice touch, and added chin spoiler and the sides of the Mustang is like the same as the 2013 but nice the rims 17x7 17x8.5 which is new but what it needs to upgrade is the battery under the hood nice engine but the battery is small it needs to be in the trunk where it haves enough room.
i dont want this car to be changed yet it looks soooo good

AT is fine, but for muscle cars like this, stick shift is a must.
