This was the final song of last nights show in KC...saw him with Jeff Beck --- Hoey simply rips!!! we met him after the show. very humble and appreciative to his fans. Very cool dude.

The Ventures and Surfaris are Great and Gary pays tribute every night with a 3 piece. You got to love him for that alone! Try selling the surf rock nowadays. @foosbal2 ditto on that sir! We're playing surf styled rock up here in Alaska, and while unique to the scene, its still kinda hard to really sell ourselves. haha. I personally always have loved Hoey's versions of the classic surf tunes personally.
yeah but like most bands he's put over all else because it's electric guitar when if you listen to some amazing bass guitar players(ex les claypool) you will see how many things can be done with it that sound awesome.
