Wow, the results are beautiful, my friend
Very admirable for you to offer to take someone under your wing.
I like your style!
Thanks for watching and for the nice words mate! Good to try and help other have as much fun as I do!
Thanks for this video - well put together and makes me even keener to chase them. I'm not a young fella, but new to targeting Luderick and would love to learn from you if you have a spare arvo. Been fishing the rocks around Sydney and the south coast my whole life and have all the safety gear.
Hey mate, that’s my for watching!! Yeah I’d be happy to meet you down there one arvo when the weather is good I’m usually free most Arvos, send me a msg on Instagram @the_weapon_fishing
Mate you serious bout taking out for free for a session? Im keen! im on northern beaches but happy to travel!
I fish these with 10 pound and still lose some big ones , 6 definitely to light for me , lovely eating fish . 👍
Thanks for watching mate! 6 is a challenge but when they are quite you definitely catch more fish! Light drag and long soft rod helps
@@Theweaponfishing … Thanks buddy , the rod I use is a bit stiff so probably a big factor for sure , I’ll change that next time , I’ll try again in calmer conditions as well. Definitely a challenge for sure on light line , the rewards are even sweeter when you land them . 👍
@@fishmut go to tackle world and pick up a dedicated blackfish rod they do estuary and rock it will help to fish lighter and catch way more fish 8lb is a perfect leader size to start
Use daiwa J thread FC 10lb, super strong and can lift 40cm models no problem and fight drummer up to 42cm
Hey mate, nice bumpin into ya today, would love to have a fish with ya sometime

Nice video, could you please let me know the place you went?
Hi mate ! love this video here - just out of curiosity, how did you tie your second fly hook to the line of your alvey setup ?
Hey mate, thanks for subscribing and watching!! My main line (either braid or mono) has a float stopper then my float, small sinker, then tie main line to small swivel using a uni knot. The I tie my leader 6-8 pound Leader with a uni knot, the small split shots sinkers then tie a uni know to my small blackfish hook. I only use one hook not two.
Anyone wanting to know what the best rod/reel etc is, plus "how" to set up line/rig, and also MOST IMPORTANTLY - where to get both stringy weed and cabbage etc - but also how/what/where/and why baits are different etc...I can help for free........ Just ask me, I am more than happy to help ANYONE to become better balckfishermen...
Another nice video 🤘
Any chance you can teach me please. Tried so many times on me own but no success. Time to learn with someone who actually know how its done 🙏🙏
Glad you like the video mate! Yeah I’m happy to teach anyone who wants to learn! What area do you live?
Mate happy to help out with ANY questions you have....just ask me - have been a Sydney "niggerman" since 1984- Harbour/ Heads/Northern Beaches etc..... Want to know ANYTHING - I can help....
Hi mate, I completely lost track of your video and reply 🙏🏼, now after 1yr I found it again 😂. I'm in western Sydney but happy to travel if you can take me with you. Cheers 🎣
I subscribed to your videos because you teach people what gear you are using. I have just started fishing a few months, what type of hooks do you use to catch these fish and type of bait?
Hi and thanks for subscribing!
The hooks are specially made for blackfish, most brands the hooks are small and green as the fish have a very small mouth!
Any tackle shop should have them in size 8 or 10.
The bait I use is green cabbage weed which is found off the rocks, I show the hooks and the bait in one of my other videos too!
@@Theweaponfishing Thank you :)
Might have to get in after work too
Good bag again
Thanks mate, it’s the perfect stress relief and a good to feed too
@@Theweaponfishing after losing 3 jobs over fishing i know its the perfect release of stress
Life jackets on the rocks aren't law in all of NSW. Only certain councils adopted that.
@@shaneharris6624 i would still wear one regardless.ive had over 1m of water rush over the top as i layed down and held on.it was a calm day and one wave stepped up from nowhere.not at the spot in the vid but sth of sydney.a spot i fished at for years and deemed safe on gd days.it only takes that one rogue wave or for you to slip.
@@shaneharris6624 thanks for the info, I know my local council they are mandatory
Do you get a lot of drummer and groper down there or mostly luderick?
Pretty much only luderick mate, use to get the odd big drummer but not for a long time
@The Weapon Fishing Adventures Are the luderick more prevalent 2 hrs before the low there or when is usually a good time. What sort of conditions/winds should I be wary of to keep safe? I usually don't fish off the rocks when the swell is over 1.3m or sets are higher than 8-10secs
I prefer mid going high and falling again, low tide isn’t much good.
I never fish unless the swell in under1m depends on where your fishing never want the wind in your face.
