      @@Theweaponfishing … Thanks buddy , the rod I use is a bit stiff so probably a big factor for sure , I’ll change that next time , I’ll try again in calmer conditions as well. Definitely a challenge for sure on light line , the rewards are even sweeter when you land them . 👍

    • @Theweaponfishing
      @Theweaponfishing  Год назад

      Hey mate, thanks for subscribing and watching!! My main line (either braid or mono) has a float stopper then my float, small sinker, then tie main line to small swivel using a uni knot. The I tie my leader 6-8 pound Leader with a uni knot, the small split shots sinkers then tie a uni know to my small blackfish hook. I only use one hook not two.

    I subscribed to your videos because you teach people what gear you are using. I have just started fishing a few months, what type of hooks do you use to catch these fish and type of bait?

    • @Theweaponfishing
      @Theweaponfishing  2 года назад +1

      Hi and thanks for subscribing!
      The hooks are specially made for blackfish, most brands the hooks are small and green as the fish have a very small mouth!
      Any tackle shop should have them in size 8 or 10.
      The bait I use is green cabbage weed which is found off the rocks, I show the hooks and the bait in one of my other videos too!

    Do you get a lot of drummer and groper down there or mostly luderick?

    • @Theweaponfishing
      @Theweaponfishing  2 года назад

      Pretty much only luderick mate, use to get the odd big drummer but not for a long time

    • @slyarsenal
      @slyarsenal 2 года назад

      @The Weapon Fishing Adventures Are the luderick more prevalent 2 hrs before the low there or when is usually a good time. What sort of conditions/winds should I be wary of to keep safe? I usually don't fish off the rocks when the swell is over 1.3m or sets are higher than 8-10secs

    • @Theweaponfishing
      @Theweaponfishing  2 года назад

      I prefer mid going high and falling again, low tide isn’t much good.
      I never fish unless the swell in under1m depends on where your fishing never want the wind in your face.
