Yes great morning mate and it was nice at last to get one up on you. ha ha.
Hi Scotty thanks for the video , can i ask how deep did you set you're float at this spot,
Cheers
Great clip matw how many mornings in the dark no stairs did we do this walk
Yes mate to many and we walk in for the road, good fun back then. see you soon.
nearly lost my dad there, he got smashed by a rogue wave and dragged to the edge, he was in shock for 30 minutes, shaking, couldn’t say a word, then we left. after that i refused his offers to go rock fishing ever again.
Those people want to go fishing on this spot pay extra caution as this place is known for big swell and extremely slippery rocks. also within the national park so expect the pay the fee and gate closure at sunset.
what is the size of the swivel being used to avoid line twist with Alvey
Nice work boys, do you ever get any Snapper here?
Looks like a good bream spot too 👍
After big seas along our coast Snapper are a chance at times as the swell drops, but you need to fish high to keep safe. Good luck.
Thanks for tuning in.
Regards Scotty & Paul
Went there for the first time a few weeks back and there were about 15 blokes pulling in trevally after trevally.. I normally spin for tailor salmon and the odd king. Is it better to flick for them further out or closer in the bay?
George they move about if a school is feeding along that ledge you are a chance mate.
Mate what time did you go there? Looks quite early. Thought the Kurnell park only opens at 7:30am?
Got out there about 8am I think, very smoky day, thanks for your feed back.
Regards Scotty & Paul
Do you guys have cleats on for this sort of fishing? Any you would recommend? Do you wear a flotation device under the jacket?
Home made cleats and I normally wear a life wet suit.
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for tuning in Regards Scotty & Paul
Hey mate how heavy should my set up be for rock fishing?
Hi Scotty ,
Another ripper video mate !
I have never fished that spot and was wondering if it is a spot that needs to be fished in certain conditions ? I have fished a few places where the direction of the swell has really changed the demeanor of a spot and it has become unsafe to fish there .
Nice one getting Gary to clean the fish !
Ian like any rock spot mate safety comes first, I like a low swell under 1 metre at any spot I fish with light winds thats why I fish most rock spots early, middle of winter is not to bad as most winds are from the west not on shore so you can get away fishing afternoons, great for Pigs.
This spot is tricky in a northeaster as the wind is straight in your face but early is okay as we fish on this day last week with a run out tide.
I still sit and watch the water always before fishing any low rock spots, pulling the pin on some days at certain spots, good luck this spot is worth a try.
Regards Scotty & Paul
Hi Scotty thanks for the video, can i ask how deep did you set you're float at this spot?
Hi what bait do you use?
Easy enough to find cabbage around there at that time of year?
Can i use the cabbage for catching milkfish ?
Not shore on that mate, the Milk Fish I have seen over the years in Weipa seem to skim the surface film not shore what they are feeding on, give it a try who knows it might work.
Thanks for tuning in Regards Scotty & Paul
G'day mate. I have tries a bit of rock fishing but get frustrated by constant snagging. How do you avoid snagging.
Float fishing 😁
Fish very light or float fish like in this clip and to many years fishing the rocks I guess, thanks for the feed back.
Regards Scotty & Paul
