Excellent video. Speaks at a good pace. Not too fast, just right so that you can understand the steps. Great step-by-step and explanations. By far the best I have seen on "How to clear cache and cookies in Safari." So glad to have found it. Thank you so much for such a great job.
You are the best!! I am so stupid when it comes to my Mac and you've taught me so many things! I wish I had time to watch every video, cause it's so hard picking just one!! Thank you sooooo much!!
Very clear and helpful! I took a look at my cashe/cookies and there is a tone of stuff I don't recognize, like 123blah.dacom etc. There are only a few websites I recognize and use regularly. Still a bit apprehensive to remove anything.
Thank you so much I only ever trouble with one website but it's one that need to access regularly. You've saved so much time and frustration thanks again and Merry Christmas!
My youtube home page when I load it, it loads the same page as before then it resets when I scroll down. How do I fix it? Should I clear my cookies on youtube?
Hello, I am new to mac and Most of the time I use Adobe softwares. When I was using windows, I saw there are creating cache files in temp folders. Can I know is that happened same in mac. Do I need to clear them. Because I use 256GB hard for my mac mini.
Probably getting the smallest drive wasn't a good idea if you edit media. But as for clearing caches from Adobe apps, I wouldn't try to micromanage that. The apps should take care of it. And if you do empty one, it would just need to re-populate with data so it would grow back to the same size, in the meantime slowing you down. Remember caches serve a purpose -- to speed things up.
I checked to see how much cache was in my Mac and was shocked to see so many different websites there with cache on my Mac. I don't recall ever visiting a lot of these sites. I've only had my Mac since August of last year. I deleted all these unknown sites and just kept the ones I know I go to. How did all these sites appear there in the first place?
Hard to say without knowing what sites you mean. But keep in mind that sites often have related servers, like image servers, ad servers, data servers, etc. So you go to site A and that page will load things from sites B, C and D as well.
So, major problem. Safari seems to want to hang onto media data from NY times WaPo, Bloomberg, times union, and even apple seems to want to re insert itself. You can delete them all but within ten seconds they come back, and you can do this 1000 times. Suggestions?
Excellent video! Love how well you explained the purpose of cookies and cache. First time I hear someone explain it so well. Now I know their purpose so thank you! All the best, - A u r o r a
I called my bank since I had trouble to login many times and she "advised" me to clear my Browser Cache. What the hell is going on in logfile and user protocol data collection nowadays! Are they selling now "browsing histories" in global economy times or what the HELL is GOING ON!
How to do it is at 2:00
thank you for saving my time.

What do you mean by "seems to want to hang on" -- what are you talking about specifically? Where do you see data still there?
NOT GOOD FOR 2020
just get to it!
