      They definitely refined the looks of the 350, the 370 is a gorgeous car.

    I have an 05 350Z with a 5spd automatic and I'm totally happy with my car as an all around daily driver, the automatic transmission gives the car the feel of having more power and get up and go but that may just be a seat of the pants feel but its very noticeable.The oil dipstick on these cars is the worst in the world but after living with it I kind of a have gotten the knack for doing it,the gas gauge is another thing that is a mystery as the reading changes every time you turn the car off and on but you get used to it,The smiles per mile more than makes up for its little oddity's that it has and the 350Z is one of the very best cars I have ever owned.

    The one to get for the track if you want to do minimal work is a 09-14 Nismo + the oil cooler. That alone (with appropriate tires and brakes) can put down stupid lap times. I have a buddy who ran his close to stock for NASA TT and placed often.

    Previously owned a 370z, this is a car that looks good on paper but you have to address the shortcomings of this car to make it track capable . In stock forms I would rather have a brz, or an Elantra N as a track day practice car. But some mods will turn it into a medium pace track car

    I never did the gallery gasket on my old G37x and tbh, never had issues with it eating coolant despite the plastic header gaskets. A lot of times, it's hit or miss what issues you will have based on the year of the car. I purposely got the 2013 370z cause of that steering lock issue. And the car has a "newer" motor in it, I can tell by the markings everywhere.
    Anyways, I think the vq37 is highly reliable, in fact, it's Nissan's 2nd best engine for sure, VR38 being #1 imo. I am a bit of andrenaline junky so speed wise, eh. I don't think the car is very fast at all, but, i love the engine very much and it's fun to rev out for sure. The car also handles pretty great out of the box with no suspension work. I have the sport model and personally, that front bumper is way better looking than the stock 370z base model haha. Overrall though, love the Z, love the platform. I'm glad they switched it up and put the VR30 in there, very classic of them considering it's heritage. But the VQ is definitely a must try, and smart purchase.
    (for the cooling stuff for those of you tracking the car. Get a oil cooler, and a couple catch cans. Everything else is just a bonus for power/cooling/reliability)

    I have a base model 2017 so I do not have all the cool extras which I would have liked as far as mods that I will do I will have to do the necessary ones first CSC, fuel pump,etc . I appreciate your honest reviews about the Z

    Considering the clutch feel. Have you tried removing the helper spring? I guess that helps from what I hear. Also I think the 370z is a very underappreciated car for the money, if you haven't already watched , Jay Emm gave it high praise in his review.

      I haven't removed the helper spring, I suppose I can give it a try just to see!

    Would u recommend front sway bar or rear first? Idk if i can get both at this time

    • @pattyboi
      @pattyboi  3 месяца назад +1

      That's fair, I'd recommend both but I think most people prioritize rear sway bar first especially if you're on the stock, staggered tire size - just to help get it to rotate a bit more.

      Buy one at a time and install together?

    So one of the main reasons I bought a 370Z was from your videos. From reading online it seems a ton of people have had success with adding Z1 oil coolers, wondering why you had such a bad experience with that. Thermostatic sandwich plate means you shouldn’t have much of a bad time warming up the car? What oil cooler did you install?

      @pattyboi  3 месяца назад

      Not saying it was a horrible experience but it really did take awhile to warm the car up to operating temperature even with thermostatic and a block off plate. If I could do it again I'd just put a 19 row instead of 25 row to help that but then it will still struggle with heat on track. It was a Z1 kit but honestly all the cooler kits are fairly similar in construction apart from the thermostatic plate (at least imo).

      Hmmmmmmm honestly I'm not sure but the favorite car I've ever owned was my turbo NB Miata even though it was kinda just a weekend toy haha

    Was it a Z1 oil cooler?

    • @pattyboi
      @pattyboi  3 месяца назад

      It was but I pieced together the brackets, everything else was a Z1 25 row oil cooler kit
