dude the internet is full of garbage but this is absolute gold. you are an outlaw. this is the coolest thing i have ever seen..i just picked up my horn for the first time in 10 years because of this video..who says metal and sax cant be combined. no one says that after watching this. outstanding. cheers.
Hello I'm French, I'm 15, I'm the saxophonist and I dream of a career in Metal as a saxophonist and what you do, even if it's covers, looks like what I want to do more late
I love this video! Thanks for playing these iconic metal riffs, and for demonstrating that saxophone can be a good rock instrument. I am learning to play tenor sax now and am looking for inspiration to learn some metal and rock riffs too. As well as jazz, of course.
I definitely need a saxophone player in my band. Problem is I asked everyone I know in high school and they don't know a saxophone player like this. Life sucks.
I wish I knew how you double-tongued your low range on bari, I can't double-tongue below like an A or G on tenor. Just heavy articulations on the syllables, or is there more to it? Awesome job though!
Yeah the lower notes are pretty challenging. I noticed that changing to a “duh-guh-duh-guh-duh-guh” tongue placement on the lower notes helps to naturally drop the jaw and help the lower notes come out. Other than that i also just accept that most are gonna jump the octave/harmonic anyway haha

I played bari for a quite a while and even though he made mistakes on holy wars that was SO freakin impressive. Idk how that’s even possible on sax.
Why does everyone keep pointing out the Holy Wars mistake 😭 i tried my best 😭😭😭

@@ThePhunkyPharaoh thank you man good continuation " L'homme au sax baryton"
Look up Caleb Canatheviphth. He’s inhumanly skilled at saxophone and makes covers of REALLY hard metal songs
I hope to hear a metal band that replaces one guitar with a sax one day, and play actual music instead of tech/random gibberish.
Jorgen Munkeby is a Norwegian metal saxophonist
Holy shit this is really impressive and i love the avenged sevenfold one that was super great!!

Brilliant! Particulaly loved the Slayer, Pantera, Priest and Maiden covers.
I love this video! Thanks for playing these iconic metal riffs, and for demonstrating that saxophone can be a good rock instrument. I am learning to play tenor sax now and am looking for inspiration to learn some metal and rock riffs too. As well as jazz, of course.

Great suff again! The really cool thing is that you play bari like a guitar hero plays guitar, which makes you a Bari hero.

This is one of the (sic)est things I’ve ever seen
I definitely need a saxophone player in my band. Problem is I asked everyone I know in high school and they don't know a saxophone player like this. Life sucks.

I’m gonna do a video in a few weeks with a metal band and Kenny G. You wanna do the audio for the sax part?
@@METALGRAMMYS I'm down but can you send some more details? My email address should be on my "About" page. Sounds like fun though, whatever it is
@@ThePhunkyPharaoh sure I’ll hit you up in a couple weeks.
I feel like the tubax (Bb) would fit better in this position.
Last time I looked it's like $10,000 minimum for one lol. Not many people with those.
Bravissimo è possibile avere gli spartiti su questo canale
This is so sick!!!
Thanks dude
Do you have a full version of Psychosocial? If not I would actually combust if you made one, love the way it sounds in your style
Nah im not sure I’ll get around to a full cover of that particular song but im working on some covers that will incorporate elements of that sound
@@ThePhunkyPharaoh 😮😮I look forward to it!
Your tone is great in the Painkiller solo. What pedals/effects are you using?

Great work! Do you have the sheet music?
Especcially psychosocial is great 🔥

Hey, what effect pedals do you use throughout the video? Thanks :)
Hey man, it’s a combination of chorus, distortion, harmonizers, tape saturation, reverb, delays
Slayer is so groovy lol
Indeed. I got “Angel of Death” coming up in a future video
Fuckin awesome man
Thanks man
What mouthpiece are you using?
