Umami Ocean is the follow-up to my original fiery and umami-packed Paolo fromTOKYO Premium Kaminari hot sauce, this newly crafted blend is a milder counterpart that artfully balances three varieties of chilis, shoyu, and yuzu, resulting in a singular umami experience that's as rich and deep as the ocean.
It’s was a true balancing act to craft the perfect blend which maintained the undeniable umami taste of my original Paolo fromTOKYO Hot Sauce but with a milder kick. What sets this hot sauce apart from my original, is that Umami Ocean makes use of 3 different locally grown chilis, red habanero chilis, green habanero chilis and their original Myoko chilis and then blended with their Premium 6-year aged Kanzuri, shoyu and this time we’ve added a hint of yuzu.

I got my bottle of Umami Ocean and tried it for the first time today! It is amazing! It’s not too spicy, full of umami and flavor, and absolutely delicious!

I have found your videos about a day in the life to be very interesting, Paolo. I hope that you make more of this content about more professions in Japan. As a Canadian, I always wanted to visit Japan because of the neat jobs there. The other reasons why I wanted to visit Japan were the sheer beauty of the country, the history, sumo and professional wrestling, the lovely people and, especially, anime.

Seriously. That sauce is good. I have tried a lot of Carolina Reaper sauces but this sauce got me hooked. I'll def be ordering more of the same one. A mild version is awesome and for my family itd be great to share this sauce since I'm the only one who has burned out tastebuds that can take crazy hot sauces. 😂 Good stuff Paolo hope you can make more sauces for your line and help out an awesome local business.

I bought a bottle of the original sauce when it first released and I love it on chicken wings. Absolutely fantastic flavor and heat! I just ordered another 2 pack (1 original, 1 ocean) to replenish my supply.
I hope there'll still be some of the spicy one available when I can order at the end of this month... unfortunately it's a month with high expenses... but if not then at the end of the year :) It's lovely how you helped this company so much and seeing them so grateful was really touching
I got this last year. Ordered it to my wife's cousin's house in America, who then flew it to my residence in Macao a few months later. That's how determined I was to get this hot sauce, and it indeed lived up to the hype. 👍
I love how they tell you everything that goes into it. It’s just the whole process being quality controlled to get the best product out to people and having pride in doing just a handful of things done right prove how much value it has to still invest in proper care. I mean they’re so passionate about it that they’re just making what they can make till it’s out. People need to get used to that and if you want more then inspire more people to enter the business and learn it. You got to work. I love that. I’m stoked to get mine 😊 I’m a huge fan of different flavors so I try as many as I can get my hands on 😂

The original is fire, I take it to work with me to eat with my lunch. Definitely a lot spicier that I was expecting, but I've grown to love it lol. I try to get my co-workers to try some of it, but most think I'm crazy as I'm starting to put a drop of it with pretty much every bite I take. Thanks for the amazing hot sauce! Will definitely have to try the umami one.

I love how they don't even think about outsourcing the chili production, to turn a bigger profit. They just simply say "when were out, were out". I love that about Japan.

I think when it comes to commitment to quality, in general, Japan seems to be unrivalled. It's ingrained in their culture. I f'n love it. I wish more cultures embraced this philosophy and way of thinking. Germans are close but even they will outsource sometimes. Case in point: Sennheiser outsourcing mass production from Ireland to Romania.

Habanero is my favorite hot pepper. The right amount of heat, while being chock full of flavor! I think I'm gonna have to get me a few bottles if habanero is the main spice profile😋

Yes 😂 I bought two bottles of the original hot sauce and gave one to a friend who loved hot sauce. He eats Scotch Bonnet peppers straight, but it was a bit too much heat 🌶️🥵 for him. I look at it as a small bottle that will last since one to two drops per serving will do you. I can see a milder version without the Carolina Reaper being a hit. Habaneros still have a bit of a kick. Look forward to trying this new version.
I bought the original hot sauce and I add it into my home made bbq sauce that i coat chicken in then grill it and it is sooo delicious, I absolutely cant wait to be able to get the new hot sauce and try that, it looks so delicious
Went ahead and picked up 3 bottles. If your first sauce is basis for judging this mild variant on (we've picked up 6 bottles of that at this point), it's gonna hit just as hard. Excited to try it!
Just got my shipment of the new hot sauce in. I tasted it and now there's no way I can go back to any other hot sauce. You really nailed it with this new Umami Ocean. I can definitely taste the ocean. I know I just bought 5 bottles but I can already tell I'm going to need to stock up on bulk. I will be handing out bottles to all my friends.

Don't compromise on the recipe. If the chilis are seasonal and thats the only time to get them, then stick to that because it works. The workers seem amazing and professional, well done to everyone.
