Love those easy fixes,rule one is always check the simplest things first and fuses are at the top of the list
You should check and see if it’s getting juice to the fuel pump first before you pull it out

It does act like this fuel pump I had a truck and did the same thing I was driving all sudden it quit dead in the middle of the road
The very first thing you should do before driving it is change the oil. It is probably overfill on oil because gas is in the oil, I didn't see you smell it
Both very good points lol. Ive had a carburetor overflow and fill the air box up before. How would gas get in the oil if it’s fuel injected though?
I thougt massimo was a pain to change and check oil on, but seems all of them are.
