The great thing about Bale is, he doesn't care how much budget the movie has, he always gives 100% of his energy and his exraodinary focus to the project.
This film is such a great piece of cinema about the existential crisis of the working class in America.
Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson were phenomenal. This film is why Bale is my favorite actor.
Both are so good. I love them working together
Casey Affleck carried the movie.

Marco Dellorusso dude this movie stuck with me so heavily, the sorrow and despair in this film is so relatable even tho if you didn’t go through what the characters went through. Heavily realistic and shows how sometimes life ends in sadness only and that’s that.
I think the negative reviews might be because critics probably figured it would be a gratuitous Dick Flick.
Negative reviews will more than likely be from people who can't relate to any of the characters.
This was an awesome movie, it really had a proper depiction of the working class. Would love to see more films like this
This movie gives me chills…that part where his ex tells him about how she moved on man I cried paused the movie went outside and had a drink and went back in to finish this classic wow

Such a strong guy in the end. Killed a kid in the accident I believe....lost his parents...lost his girl....lost his brother. Just constant pain thrown his way....he's obviously broken in the end but still moves on.....maybe. Don't know. Hes just sitting at the table. Who knows what happens from there. We can all relate though because of loved ones we've lost over the years...while we remain here with the pain.

This is such a great movie from almost every standpoint but especially the feel of the location. I grew up in a very similar small factory working Pennsylvania town and this movie captures the essence of that area well. It actually looks like some of the shots are filmed in my town to be honest lol. I know that nothing was but he definitely captured the bits that will resonate with anyone from such a place.
Any movie with Forest Whitaker and Willem Defoe acting in it. Will become a very exciting movie. And Zoe Saldana, did an excellent job. Matter fact all the actors did very moving performances.
Literally watched a live documentary of 2 real brothers and broken hearts...Out of " this world"..

The sad reality about this film is the fact it got no publicity because it's about a real problem in America & the Media & Hollywood did not want to point out any homefront problems while Democrats are in power. They wanted you to believe everything was rosey.
