Let this sink in for a moment; in 1982 I built a fall out shelter in my back yard to protect my family from the possible nuclear war with the Soviet Union. As I was a member of the Canadian Armed forces I was not home very much. Now over forty years later I wish I still owned that property so I could protect my grandchildren. At 65 years old my life is nearing its end . I was prepared to do what ever it took to protect my family, and now I'm just a used up old vet that will have to rely on the kindness of others to survive. Those old fucks in the governments of the world are no better off than I am. If the young people of this world do not stand up against this insanity we are doomed!

As a Veteran, I can only ask any person with family on the front line in Ukraine to ask them to surrender to Russia. As POWs they have more protection under the Geneva Convention. They will get the care they are not getting form the Ukrainian Gov. Food, shelter, medical provision and I believe that Russia will treat all POWs well.

I lived through the Cuban Missile Crisis only due of the diplomatic determination of President Kennedy and then-president of Russia, Kikta Krushiv, but I have little hope that I will live through World War III that will result from the U.S. funded, CIA/NATO led proxy Ukraine war due entirely to the lack of diplomatic efforts of the current administration and the greed of the military industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned us about.

It should have collapsed a long time ago. This has nothing to do with protecting the standard of living for American citizens, but rather the standard of living for the Establishment. We will gain NOTHING fighting this war for them. If anything, they'll no longer be able to gatekeep the economy to help their corporate buddies. They will HAVE to open it up to small businesses, as they won't be able to bail out the monopolies anymore if the dollar fails.
