At Jon's virtual concert a couple of weeks ago he mentioned that it was supposed to be "Blue" but when he saved the file on his computer he just misspelled it and decided to keep it as "Blu"
Wow, I honestly thought that since how blue is spelled in Italian, Blu, I thought it was just a reference to his ethnicity. Kind of a coincidence, now that I think about it.
yet another great reaction! a few things in this song that may have confused you in this song confused me at first too but overtime i understood. the song talks about how he’s divided between the control in his life and his love for his wife. when he falls into her blue, a lot of people have theorized that her eyes are blue (like the cover art for this song) and that “fighting it is hopeless..... just like he designed me to do” is saying that, maybe he shouldn’t fight it because God designed him to fall in love with her. and in the end when the beat drops, he decides she’s the love of his life and surrenders the control of his own life to her. hope this helps!
Fantastic reaction. I will have to reflect more on the lyrics, but just offhand, the ocean is often referred to as the deep blue sailing to sailors. So perhaps it's another way of saying her ocean. Ocean being the depths of her being, and blu being a poetic expression.
Don't know, not sure, but cause of his religious background i initially assumed ""take me home"" was God. (also cause i'm guessing "he designed me to do" was also his religious background). But now I'm wondering if 'take me home' was referring to the woman. She is home to him. (I think I've heard people refer to the love of their life as "home" before?). Just a guess...
Yep, they are brothers. They make music in their apartment. I recommend these songs for a good start😁: Don't Throw Out My Legos Birthday Party Turning out (part 1)

Thank you JC! Also, man that in and of itself is deep. Cool, in depth perspective. It could be!
Jon had a Genius interview where he talks a lot about Glory Sound Prep and some of the songs here: ruclips.net/video/HE-TSRvj0Ps/видео.html
Thanks Gwen! I may do a reaction to this vid or some of it when I return. =)
