How good is this game for beginners? I love watching the challenges you do and always wanted to pick up the game, but wondering if I'm too late to the party and actually be able to have fun with it
Overall, I'd say easy to pick up. Lots of depth to keep things interesting. It might take a while to master. I'm still learning things every day. That said, it's easy to pick up and it's fun. The learning curve isn't steep. A few games in and you'll understand the basics pretty well. The game also does a decent job of matching you versus similarly-skilled opponents. I'd suggest playing against AI for a couple of games, then increasing the difficulty for a couple more games, and then jumping right into multiplayer. Let me know how it goes (if you decide to get it). It's a new game, btw. It's still in early access. I don't know for certain, but I believe it's supposed to officially launch towards the end of 2024.
@WhoopedGG Thanks man, that helps a lot! I think I will pick it up then! I think I always worry about it when I hear you comment about predicting what your opponent is doing and what they should have done exactly and just wonder if I need to be swinging that hard (mentally) out of the gate going into multiplayer 😅
@@mrbun5819 🤣 I have a friend I play with who is relatively new. Just the other day, he threw down Crawlers to pull his opponent's units away so he could have the advantage in the front. I was like 😲 You'll pick up tricks along the way and you'll start to anticipate things pretty naturally.
Wraiths would be my go-to for this. But aside from air and just countering hackers in general, having chaff and high-target units to kill the hacked chaff faster than they can hack the next one is important.
@@WhoopedGG I'm one of those really annoying people where I will occasionally butt in if I hear someone say something wrong. I'm trying to work on it but it's slow going. For the sunk-cost bit, there's a relatively unknown rule that paired words have to follow an specific order based on the vowels. It's mostly for words with "I" "A" "O" like knick-knacks or Tick-Tock. But it generally just sounds nicer to an English speaker's ear to have O sounds at the end.
Sooo.. are the Stormcallers chaff now? Or am I forgetting something? Game two, around the 22minute mark you're buying them, when I was pretty sure the challenge here was to win with only free units, chaff (Fangs and Crawlers), as well as Hackers & Mustangs That aside, I think you'd be better off showing the hackers fairly late. Round 3-4 at the earliest. Better to start out with the mustangs and trick your opponent into buying chunkier ground units. Cheers (Though I am not sure attempting subterfuge can have any success with that account name 🤣. But eh, you never know. You could be misdirecting them after all..)
This isn't his "X unit challenge" series. He's allowing himself to recruit from the reinforcement list but he's not allowed buy any from the regular recruitment panel.
The streak continues, loving these longer vids to.
I have to be honest, there were a few times I thought I was going to lose 😂
@ 26:15 Terocon took a calculated risk, but man is he bad at math xD
🤣 Feelsbadman
Great series! I've always struggled to make Hackers work (as awesome as they are) so nice to see they can put in the work!
What helps immensely is getting them at lvl 2. makes a big difference
@@apocolototh1948 Very true
They can definitely be inconsistent. Pretty fun when it works though 😂

@@WhoopedGG Good to hear! Hope to see you in ranked at some point then haha!! Maybe if we meet and you're doing a challenge run I'll have a chance 😂
Just for reference sake, how would you counter this if someone was going hacker mustang against you?

Vulcans. Crawlers with replicate. Pretty much anything with armor upgrade. Oddly enough, a Rino aggro could work.
I like the longer video. An hour would be even better. They good to go to sleep to then.
That's not a bad idea. Maybe I can upload a vod of a stream or something?
Sunk-Cost Fallacy. I don't want to be that guy but listening to you saying it that way just drove me mad.
😂🤣😅 Why is that

@@BrownsheepBF Ohh I said cost sunk instead of sunk cost. Yeah, I mix up my words all the time.
you make 3 videos a day?! love your vids but be careful of burnout my guy
Between 2-3 is what I'm trying to get to. I've created a schedule and I think I can get there.
