There is no other dangerous prison greater than the prison of unforgiveness. It holds you to one spot. It takes away your peace. I have been there so I know how it hurt. You will say you have forgiven but yet, you feel hurt each time the ones who hurt you are happy or when you remember what they did to you. My dear only God can take away that pain, hurt and give you true peace that will cause you to freely forgive. Ask God help to forgive and forget. One of the things that helped me forgive is this: i remember that i cannot see God because of my holding on to unforgiveness. God will not say enter heaven my dear, you would have forgiven but thst girl was just a pure demon. His standard will not change for me. Two, the person is enjoying himself, getting fresh and here i am not making progress because i am holding onto 'what they did' Three, so that there's no loop hole for the devil to attack. Scripture says " the wicked one comes and finds nothing offensive in me"
