I remember them covering this in Festsaal Kreuzberg in 2011. I still have the set list, it was on the floor in front of me. I thought I'd never hear it again
This cover, listening to Primal Scream’s Screamadelica album after The Slow Rush being compared to it, and the Gorillaz collab, Tame Impala had come full circle to channeling these UK rave influences for the new Dua Lipa album.
It strangely reminds me of "Bela Lugosi is dead" by Bauhaus. Given, that the instrumental version of the song was a maintheme for "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines" game, I get this as a cultural reference of a sort
MA is just one of those bizarre, assorted chocolate kinda bands. I agree, and it's even more grungy compared to the original. Props for the cover. I like "what your soul sings"
A qualidade do áudio é rara sim. Só escutei uma outra versão que fosse tão boa quanto essa e foi num bootleg que provavelmente não se encontra mais na internet já que lembro de escutar essa outra versão já tem uns 5 anos.
No need to get too precious. It's just a throwaway one-off live performance, in front of a few hundred people when they/kevin were hardly known. Kevin could do a million times better if he cared.
It's criminal that he didn't release this. A studio recording of this would be amazing.
Did anyone else shit their pants when they saw the name of this video?
ZEEPYSHEEP me! 🙋🏻♀️
Yes
WHAT THE FUCK?!? TAME IMPALA COVERED THIS HOLY SHITTTT
This is an cover, cover doesn't have to be identical to the original. No reason to hate Kevin's voice.
Sagga Tnik Otygama Exactly!
Sho no soy Chileno pero hablo en español papu! Y si, es un cover, de hecho esta es una de mis presentaciones favoritas.

Yikes. We all are technically
You are my angel, Kevin Parker
Kevin Parker should've recorded this in the studio and released it. It's awesome! If rough around the edges...
IF.... IF ... ????
Awesome cover or no cover. The energy they create is mind blowing
Even Tame Impala likes Massive Attack
To love you, love you, love you, love you, love you, love you
This is just freaking awesome!!
They are great at doing covers and making them their own.
2 amazingly awesome musical artists put together
ayy dios mio i love this massive attack song and i love tame impala, esto ha sido lo mejor que me ha pasado en la semana!! :D
Rare quality is good quality.
"educational purpose only" I see what you did there...
Can't believe it was so long ago that I first heard this song. No, that can't be right....
Sooo beautiful cover! I wish i could hear it on normal rec.

El bajo y el resto son salvajes...massive miran de reojo acongojados
Awesome
This was the period where 2 walking tabs of lsd were the rhythm section, it makes sense its off. Tame fans are in denial
my fav bands
nice touch, for educational purposes only lol Yes kids, go get educated about massive attack, now!
It strangely reminds me of "Bela Lugosi is dead" by Bauhaus. Given, that the instrumental version of the song was a maintheme for "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines" game, I get this as a cultural reference of a sort
Bad ass cover....Excellent choice:) U musn't 'Tame' the Impala!
yami richardson you meant Bad bass cover?
@@rayhoodoo847 that was genius if you meant it in a nice way
@@amira.villalobos of course I meant it in a nice way, this cover kicks bass!

Beata Ziach oooooohhhhhhhh yesssssssss
OMG OMG OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....omg
Please please please
Ahhh shit this is good
Bass player needs to get his shit together.
+Ash Hall I don't think so, knowing Tame Impala I'd say it's totally intentional
+Ash Hall what do you mean with that Ash? As a learning bass guitarist, do you mean he plays off beat?
U should listen to some trip hop...ull get it padwan
Whatever do you mean?
Ash, what do you mean? I can't understand things like this.
C'mon. Elizabeth Fraser never sung this one. This was an original by Horace Andy.
We need a kevin doom metal album now
the basseline is not sooo good played ;-)
+Moritz Teuer I think it's on purpose, it's still synchronised, the pattern is different but the tempo fits
Yeah, the bass player seemed to have a hard time keeping on time.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT THE HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL
fuck yeaaaaa
holy fucking shit
what is the exact quality? 256 mp3 or higher?
Agreed
Where did they play this??
The 5th dimension
Frank Sullivan oh bro.... 😭💥
How to achieve that guitar tone.?
Niiiice
Like Frank Zappa!
interesting don't listen to much frank, what do u recommend that this reminds u of
nothing will EVER top the original, but this is still nasty
waaaaaaa!
oh fuck oh FUCK
Não entendo algo "raro" quando está no RUclips.

This is the only song which can't be covered !!
Sepultura did it and it's badass
!!!!
Que peso da porra, pqp...
truly the only good cover of this
Year?
Bass 😬
Tame was so much better when nobody knew who they were
the bassist is way out of time
It’s done on purpose to create dissonance
@@ismaelmelendez2710 A mean literally in the middle of the bar he's playing
@@SethTheOrigin woooooshhh
"...the instrumental is like 200% dirtier (in a very positive way."
Horseshit. It's messy and scattered. Get better taste.
No need to get too precious. It's just a throwaway one-off live performance, in front of a few hundred people when they/kevin were hardly known. Kevin could do a million times better if he cared.
So in conclusion... not a good song to cover!
In conclusion: you're a moron.
Good 1
Nick Snow Oh yeah, especially because it's true.
TDFW
Sepultura's version of this song is the best cover that I've heard.
Way better than this.
I'm just saying!!!
They stole this idea...
Nathaniel Andrews this song has been covered by lots of people
This cover is awful. (cringe)
