I always wondered what it would’ve been like if Helena stayed and she and Oliver got married instead of Felicity. Then again, wish he married Black Canary like in the main DC comics
For those who shipped Oliver with Helena, it's like shipping a student with his/her teacher. In DC's case, it's the same as shipping batman with Batgirl. Oliver saw something in Helena, something broken and damaged, something that he is too familiar with. He'd chosen to help her out of self-pity, but Helena believed that both of them wanted the same thing in their lives. She tried getting closer to him, to better understand him and make him understand her and stay by her side just like she believes she is staying in his all the time. But that is not Oliver. Unlike Helena who wanted vengeance her whole life, Oliver wanted the right thing to be done. It's like a Templar candidate being Mentored by a Master Assassin. That's why they fell. More than that, both of them encouraged each other's dark temptations and ruthless instincts, and Helena succumbed to it faster than Oliver could. If they stayed by each other's side, Oliver would've taken the Mirakuru himself and even became Ra's Al Ghul without a thought. And Felicity is the opposite of Helena. Oliver strengthens her, pushes her to her utmost limits during certain missions, and reminds him that he is not some monster. She humanizes him as he empowers her with his trust, resolves, and faith. That's exactly why I loved Helena's arc. It encompasses the idea of what Oliver could've been if he had nobody to rely on and given into his impulses. At the end of their story, the main romance begins. While thinks went wrong in later series, the way they set it up for the romance is perfect.
I read every single word. All of those "romances" were a build up to Felicity. Helena was Oliver's first attempt at something outside of his playboy persona, he thought he could be her teacher. They were all stepping stones with different outcomes as the seasons progressed. Laurel was just someone he loved the idea of, but never really loved her. Men in love don't cheat. Sara was just Oliver trying to be with someone as damaged as he was, and was familiar. Felicity was the only one who always saw him as a hero, right from the beginning. Everyone else, even Diggle, called him a simple killer at one point or the other, but Felicity was unwavering. She pushed him and wouldn't settle for less than the best of him. Haters can hate all they want, but it a beautifully unfolded love story, yes flawed by the writers at times, but one for the ages.
Lool nope. It wasn't out of pity he was crazy about her, he saw himself in her which is part of why he wanted to save her but he was also attracted to her darkness and her drive..he let her in faster than anyone else on the show and if it weren't for the Laurel angle the show was trying to push at the time she probably would have been recurring. The show tried to get JDG several times afterward but she was too busy. SA had the most chemistry with her than any other woman on the show including Felicity and Oliver was the most open and vulnerable with Helena than he was with any other character on the show. He kept 0 secrets from her right off the bat.
shame there wasnt an episode which had both cupid and huntress together because that would have been interesting. huntress and cupid could reluctuntly team up with each other to take down olivier and team arrow and then turn against each other towards the end.
This is my best friends favorite tv show. Me personally, I'm a Batman Girly, but she has not stopped babbling about this tv show. So being a good friend I'm watching it. And I have questions. Why is Batman's daughter hanging around with the green arrow? And how are they around the same age? Because Helena (aka the Huntress) is the daughter of Batman and Catwomen. Is Batman like gonna come in as her real father or something? Someone pls explain.

What's the soundtrack at the begining of the video
I need the background music!! Haven't been able to find it still. Anyone have leads?
