This "Accu" series seems to be the next evolutionary step from the Edge series - a line that was already marketed to be the most accurate rival. Hence, it makes sense that these blasters get great accuracy, even with old fashioned rival rounds. What I am wondering is if the new accu-rounds improve the performance of older rival blasters at all.
@@dgresham2729 I brought it up because it basically carries over. They were pretty much the same on the Pathfinder. I've tried them in my Kronos and didn't notice them being any more or less accurate, but I don't have a chronograph so I can't say what the FPS is.
Agreed, as well as some older springers. Like the Hades or Artemis that were the notorious inaccurate ones. Or at least they seemed less accurate than others. I would like to see if the rounds are truly better or if there is something to the “optimized” barrel.
@@cside19 I will disagree that the Hades is especially inaccurate, but it is also probably a great one to use anyways, since it's probably the highest capacity springer
The thing with the grouping test is that, all the best shots with accurounds were all on the same area. the best shots with og rival were all around the head.
Could be the larger NERF logo on the newer rounds screwing up the trajectory; nice branding but fails the common sense test and what these rounds aim to do... Agree the OG Rival rounds look like a more consistent group.
@@jaydad1227 bought the Pathfinder and fired a bunch of OG and new balls down my apartment hallway. OG definitely is better. New ones tend to backspin too much and overshoot
Do you think that the new rival rounds would affect the older rival blasters accuracy? Or is it just the new barrel of the fate that makes both round equally good
So sleek!! I can’t imagine what this would look with painted!! Maybe like a red fade that would be awesome. Also, is NERF finally paying attention to us now!?

putting a single steel bb in the middle of rival rounds has done well for my outdoor accuracy. not sure if it'd be allowed at events or whatever but my friend and I shoot each other with them and it doesn't feel different, just seems to help for straight shots at longer distances.
I prefer the look of the knockout but it’s hard to argue with results! Great blaster. The black side fins it has are a tad long in my opinion but goodness does this thing perform
To me, and i have pretty small hands because im a child, the Nerf Elite 2.0 Slyshot had one-of-the BEST feeling grips of all time. Literally, i bought it for four bucks because it looked cute and then i held it and i didnt put it down for the entire day. Thats how good.

From an outside perspective, it seems like the accu-rival rounds are just another Hasbro Gimmick and the blaster itself is what makes the line more accurate, not the rounds. The grouping of original Rival rounds was better than that of these new "more accurate" ones.
I'm glad Hasbro is supporting someone like you, that consistently works hard to put out videos. Given the breach looks/functions like the Flex, can you fit 2 rounds in it for a shotgun shot? (Or is it even worth it, if it's so accurate?)

In my knockout the first thing I did was opened it up and removed the spring for the muzzle so I just had to unleash the latch and tilt the blaster back to close it
When saying original rival flies off after a certain distance, shouldn't accuracy testing be done at longer ranges then? Rival was always pretty good at shorter ranges. Just something I thought. Accurival might be more significantly different at longer ranges. Edit: I said range a lot 😂
The reason that Hasbro does not just switch completely over to the Accustrike line is because the Accustike darts cant shoot as far. Also, with having more lines Hasbro makes more profit off their blasters(*main reason) It would be cool if nerf made a Accustrike line (possibly rival?) that would shoot just as far but also remain as accurate as the current Accustrike darts. Although considering the profit Hasbro gets that is not very likely to happen.
I like this line a lot. I like the power of the pistol, seems it shoots harder than the usual Rival springers. I am happy Hasbro continued with new Rival blasters. The new ammo does not seem more accurate than the old one, but I like the way it looks. Also, the optimized barrel claim seems a bit silly, don't you think so?
After using primarily adge and accu rounds, I'm covinced that the accu rounds may carry a bit more distance but they aren't more accurate, they are more predictable (if that makes sense at all). This series of rival blasters, however, do seem to shoot more accurately with any rival round, I think the "specialized barrel" might reduce wind turbulence with small pinhole vents near the muzzle. All things considered, the accu rival rounds are improved if not necessarily in accuracy, mainly because of the membrane that doesn't seem pick up as much dust, dirt and moisture. My original 3 that came with the fate are still practically like new.
I’m not sure do you notice, everytime when hasbro release a new line starting from the last year, theres only three blasters like mega xl, hyper and this new line……. What’s happening?

I think giving up a bit of plunger volume for the grip ergo was worth it!
I mean I don't know ~what~ I was hoping for with it but I kinda don't like that its basically a single shot while being rather chunky and sizeable for what it is
Ok, so I found out that you can shoot, mega, full and half length darts out of it if you load a rival round, then muzzle load a mega, full, or half length darts.
I’m no genius but wouldn’t the new round be even more accurate if there wasn’t a big nerf logo molded on it? I get branding, but you’re not getting the full potential right? Maybe it’s not a big deal
Definitely going to pick this one up, but probably not gonna mod it. I modded my knockout, accidentally made it a 2 shot rscb and I love it, but now I don't have a rival pistol lol. With the t pull being standard pull back instead of pull back then return forward, is it possible to de-prime the blaster? Maybe the first de-primeable rival blaster

Nice to see Rival rise, Rise! Nerf been in a slump lately nice to see them picking up pace again. I'd prefer basic release of a Jolt, Triad and Firestrike versions, muh bread n butter atleast in the first wave.
Those blue balls (giggidy) from your discription anyway seem closer to the x shot chaos rounds. The smooth barreling in these new ones along with having good sights look to at the very least not hurting the accuracy. The barrels of my Hades definitely have too much going on, and the cylindrical shape along with it's vertical grip can lead to it being held less than perfectly level... Which is what I have always attributed to it's off centre shots when compared to other rival blasters like the Roundhouse.
I've watched 5 or 6 of your videos tonight and I subscribed because I like how you approach these reviews and such. However, I think there's a huge flaw in your testing method for this one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't seem to be accounting for the increased accuracy/better grouping you will naturally get the more you practice in that session of testing. In other words, since you fired the blue ammo first, and then the yellow ammo, your increased accuracy with the latter could just be the result of having 10 rounds of practice with this blaster that you didn't have with the blue ammo. In the future for this kinda test comparing ammo I'd recommend switching back and forth more (so like 5 blue, 5 yellow, 5 blue, 5 yellow, 5 blue, 5 yellow) so there's a bigger sample size to draw conclusions from. And maybe have 2 targets set up, one for each ammo type? I dunno how expensive those targets are so that might not be worth it haha, but it might make each ammo's performance easier to track. Just my thoughts as a life-long but very casual Nerf enthusiast🖤
The thought did cross my mind and I wish between tests I would have swapped the order, but repeating it since then (and knowing I'm doing another video anyways), I still haven't come to a clear conclusion that these are superior in terms of accuracy (and I feel the outside flight path/range tests corroborate that). In the follow up video, I'm going to include data points from other shooters as well. I just need a break from Rival for a while.
