I do appreciate the time you spend on the videos, the different attachments are of quality you can see! I have bought the flaker but haven't tried it yet. Just received my oat groats a few days ago!
Hello :) I saw a chef make pasta and he ran his dough through the lasagna attachment several times before running it through the spaghetti attachment. That way the dough is nice and smooth and I guess it wouldn't come out crumbly and dry. Thanks so much for your Ankersrum videos
You need to put it through the plain roller that is the lasagne one around 6 times till it is very smooth and you keep folding it over and over and put through the machine one it is lovely and smooth can make spaghetti or cut by hands - need to keep your pasta in the fridge before making it🌸
Hey Sashine, I do not have the meat grinder attachment. We actually have a meat grinder in itself because we do process our own meat. If it weren't for that, I'd definitely consider one. My friend has one and she has been pleased with it. 🙂
@@Tracy-Hart Thank you. My KitchenAid mixer is still going strong. It's been a real work-horse, so I don't need to buy anything new just yet (it's 33 years old and still works like the day I bought it). But I know the day will come when I will need to make a change. I make my bread by hand so I don't need the power of a machine that can handle really large quantities, but again, we shall see when the time comes around. Have a good day.
You really have to roll the dough out several times before putting it through the various macaroni attachments. You have to have a silky smooth sheet of pasta at least the width of your cutter and about 18" long. The lasagna roller would work, but everything depends on your dough. It is impractical to keep switching attachments, so you would have to make your sheets of dough ahead of time, but you must cover them in flour and then you have to work fast before the sheets begin to dry and you end up with a mess. You could use a rolling pin, but you're much too pretty to end up with Popeye arms.

We use the lasagne atachment to prepare the fetucini, spaghetti etc.
Good luck
Thank you for the tip. 😊
The attachments look very well-built. Do you have the meat grinder attachment? Thanks for such an interesting video.
