New sub here… mate this video is so easy step by step… I’ve recently started wanting to get hands on with cars myself and having a seat Ibiza too, the next service I’m doing it myself. Tired of paying x amount to garages on stuff that can be done yourself and help save the pounds… thank you so much for this vid
Thanks for the helpful video. I wish manufacturers would put a small flap in the engine undertray to give oil filter access without having to remove the whole undertray.
I just tried to fo an oil and filter on the same car. The oil filter is so tightly on I can't budge it. I tried the 30mm socket and ratchet but the socket-shaped part just snapped off the oil filter. I've had to order a filter removal tool.....
sorry to hear that try grabbing from outside with oil filter wrench or other grips also will definitely recommend replacing the oil filter housing if the old one gas snapped off
Not related or oil the trigger for the washer fluid is busy and I’m told this is fairly common for seat Ibizas but an expensive fix as whole airbag has to be removed etc. I’m going to put in a secondary wire for it and drill to add a different switch . Do you have any tips/ have you come across this before?
Is it possible that this engine can take 4 liters of oil ?? I brought my car today at the service with 4L of mine oil and they said nothing has left.. I expected to get atleast 0,5L back for filling up when needed
Thanks for posting this Jay. Very clear and very helpful (saved me some money too)!

Changed my oil and filter today wish I’d watched this first! Sorted me with the reset at the end though 👍
Glad it helped
Brother, you can change the oil filter from the engine bay with a 30mm socket, a lot easier and you get less messy

19:57 That"s reset for small service. For big service turn on emergency lights and do same proceture as for small service.

use IPA solvent instead of brake cleaner on rubber and plastic parts as brake cleaner destroys rubber and plastics. brilliant video though, thanks!
