That new run at the end is pretty much the perfect start for an archery run, just get the food, use it on the first fight and with the level up open the spots behind and in front of the arrows, the bow also has 3 mana in it so it can combo with the ring that adds 2 dmg per mana or with the 4 shield per mana ring for easy defence
Broken ring is a lowkey goat for most of my builds

on thing I learned about going full dps and archer is the dodge potion is HUGE. Two uses and completely negates an attack.
Will keep it in mind!
i did also a good run and found the legendary bow that allows arrow from 2 directions to be used, a bunch of consumables and the rage relic it was fun

Is anyone else saying "it's still a gem god damn it" when he says "oh so this is useless" because he could've gotten more damage just by having the "useless" gems adjacent to the pick?

at start i didn't think this game will impress me. but now i watch all the videos about it
25:58 but sifffd that's actually a really good item for mana build(the mana stones refill mana only after battle!)
Minor positioning error: The amethyst you placed to the left of the red energy item would've affected the pickaxe if you had placed it above the red energy item instead, swapping places with the ring, which doesn't care about positioning. But you had more than enough gempower already, so it ultimately didn't matter.

Literally my first run, I got offered a pickaxe for a reorganise. I didn't take it, because I hadn't seen any gems yet, and I assumed that they were just items that took up space and thier only effect would be the +1 pickaxe damage buff on the pickaxe tooltip. I thought I'd end up using my entire inventory to hit, like 15 damage. Haven't seen one since, lol.
sifd: "it's bad not to have consumables"
also sifd: *throws away consumables, or uses them just to get rid of them*
(basically sifd fills his inventory with junk, say's it's important, but throws it away later anyways... *facepalm* )

I thought the transition to pickaxe build was sensible and fun!
I had an armor/spikes growth build the last time I played....I almost didn't even have to attack. Generated MORE armor and spikes every turn just like that boss.

The most busted build late-game is cleavers. The King and Queen cleavers can deal massive damage with little energy.
Don't sleep on mana stone items. You can seriously boost damage on that arrow plus then have an additional item to boost or use mana to attack.
Vampirism actually deals the "vampirism dmg" to the enemy but at least in the screen it seems like it counts as a different instance of dmg so maybe it triggers on hit effects on enemies which might be bad on some but is generally better cuz of dmg also παμε ρε μλκ

Yeah I finally stopped watching it after skipping through until their inventory was full of gems and I just, ow
the coral relic is completely broken
it stacks each turn so if you have enough block you wont even need to attack the enemies 👍
