Quite honestly same, i grew up in Foster Care and never had any father figure in my life but honestly ash has been more of a father figure than anyone ive had in my life. I've never met him in my life but he has massively impacted my life for the better. Always informative and positive in his videos. Thank you Ash for being the father i never had.

Honestly I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a solid pipe tabbaco fragrance. Whether or not it smells like tabacolor I have no idea but a great pick up for the price!

Dior tobacolor isn’t niche it’s designer prive’ line
Costs per bottle to produce is probably $5 for designer companies. Absolutely no reason for a niche frag to be $400 unless to maintain exclusivity and prestige
I recieved my Tabac & Detour Nior last week and they are great fragrances! This week I ordered 9pm, Mercedes Benz Club Black & CDNIM Limited Edition. I'm just waiting on the mailman now.
I’ve never smelled a tobacco pipe fragrance. Would you say it would suit someone who’s young? Also can you wear it on all occasions?
@@clearchaos Nope Tabac is probably not for a young man. 9pm, CDNIM Limited Edition or Detour Noir would be a better pick. Mancera Cedrat Boise Intense is another 10/10.
Great job Ash! You were spot on with your Paris Corner Wild and Tobacco review, which I also think is great and no regrets I got that one, so I'm pretty confident I would like this one also.

Prices are already shooting up. When I first found out about it, it was going for CAD $25, but was out of stock. Just got back in stock for $29.95... I pulled the trigger immediately
I saw It for 20 a few days ago now its sold out and most places got it for 40 and up.
Its 35 atm. I think I may have to do something b4 it gets to 40

@Dirk I mean yes there is collaboration with some fudging here and there with products, but I’ve been generally interested in bright peach, the carved Oud clone, and this one. For the bottles I don’t care about, I don’t watch it. I think Ashton has been relatively transparent, but again as a human being it should behoove you to question people’s motives and then weigh them. In this case I don’t care about the partnership and simply wanted some info on the scent that I haven’t had to search for from other less articulate RUclipsrs. Redolessence is a prime example of someone who has become quite shill like and so I don’t necessarily care for his reviews and many a time I disagree with his assessments. Regardless stay aware my friend!

Noticed the higher quality and production of the videos. Currently no Diors in my collection. Might pick this up after some more research, very classy looking clone.
Pretty new to fragrances and I just got my Lattafa tobacco touch and I’m in love, my first tobacco scent and blind bought tabac, and Paris corner voux elegante a few days ago, shame winter will be over soon, but I can let them macerate for fall

@@patthanboy444 i personally prefer tabac more, better performance and smells more dark/earthy from the patchouli, tobacco touch smeels like slightly spicy root beer to me, tabac smells more like sweet red bean if you have ever smelled that. I think maybe tobacco touch might be more mass appealing but if i had to choose one, id pick tabac. Lots more tobacco vanille clones out there was well

@@sham2008u i like it a lot, first initial spray i guess i already had in my mind what honey tobacco smelt like so i was a little surprised that it was a lot fresher than i thought but the drydown got sweeter/earthier which i really like now. performance is around 6-8 hours when applied to moisturized skin. i would reccomend voux if u want a more spring/fall scent, could also work in the winter but i think there are maybe slightly sweeter scents id rather wear that maybe to sweet for spring/fall
The price of this has now doubled - currently in the UK - it sells for average £30.
I hope the price comes back down once the Hype is over

I have all the alhambra lattafa clones on the way. I have woody oud and was impressed. Just got kismet angel and after 15 minutes wow it's close.
I love woody Oud. I don’t know how close it is, but for the price it almost doesn’t matter. I use it so often it’s almost time for a new bottle.

Hey Ash I know you like Thameen Carved Oud. Maison Al Hambra has a Crafted Oud. If you are interested I would love your take on that one. I haven’t smelled Carved Oud but it’s really close to Oud Wood at least. Has a pretty nice presentation as well.

Im not impressed with this fragrance. I purchased this based off of fragrance reviews claiming that it was a sweet honey, tobacco scent but instead it started off extremely harsh. It was a very dry tobacco smell. After a week or two of maceration it has finally gotten sweeter but it’s a peachy tobacco smell (very weird mix). The performance is not that great either despite reviewers claiming it is beast mode . This is not blind buy safe
Performance is definitely not beastmode, 4-5 hours max, reviewers lied

I have it, it's not smooth. The start is offensive honey and tobacco (like straight out of a pipe or cigar) it gets a little better later but it's a hard wear.

Let me help you pronounce Tobacolor. Say the word "tobacco" and the word "lore" with no space in between them. Like "tobaccolore"
I just got a bottle of this. Does this smell exactly like Tobacolor? I don’t know but I am smelling similarities to ENCHANTED FOREST by Vagabond Prince. Anyone else get this too? I have not tried Diors fragrance yet. Really nice though. Thanks!

Yep sadly this didn't reach the EU and Lattafa having Alhambra removed from their website means it might never make it sadly, who knows. Might give it a shot otherwise, we can hope.
Why did Lattafa remove Alhambra? I saw your comment, then I checked the official website. Yes, you are right. They stopped making Alhambra perfumes. So sad.
@@ali_sarrafi I don't know that, i picked up the info from another youtube fragrance reviewer called Aromatix. It seems to me that this fragrance house (Alhambra) isn't up to par on things such as quality control and their clones are kinda hit or miss. From what i've seen Kismet for Men and Tabac are appreciated. These facts might contribute to Lattafa dropping them. Who knows
How would this do with one spray of bright peach sprayed with it? Would that cover the peech note or would it be bad?

is the name Tabac a trade mark of a German company ,my dad wore it when I was a boy & I still have a bottle of it , the Tabac is made by Maurer & Wirtz & as far as I'm aware its still being made
Tabac can’t be registered as a trade mark because it is a word of public domain, unless it includes a logo then only the logo can be registered with the word, is like you trying to register the word “tree” or “food”

Hmmm..I might be in the minority with Tabac but this one did not work for me at all. It came off way too harsh and it had this pungent like scent that did not fair too well for my liking. Maybe I'll come around to it but knowing myself, I highly doubt it.

I own Herod, Pure Havane, and 1821 Man Made Tabacco. Would this be considered redundant to own?
No. The scent goes in a totally different direction. At first it is very harsh… It smells like dry tobacco, but once you let it macerate for a week or two it becomes a peach + Tobacco scent. The peach and tobacco mix is a bit unusual so I wouldn’t say this is blind buy safe. Performance isn’t as great as the reviewers make it out to be so beware

This might be a dumb question, do designers and niche fragrances companies trademark their scents? Find it funny how these clone houses don't receive cease and desist letters. Any other company protect their product against those type of other companies messing with their sales.
The ingredients are not even close.
I find it hard to believe a company could patent/trademark a smell. Even if they could patent the ingredients, there are many ways to get to the same end result

@@user-gl7yj9uv9p Don't use it :) or spray on clothes. I think it's a relevant question but the more expensive ones could also harm, I don't think all substances in there are tested in all kind of circumstances. You could choose for perfumes based on natural essential oils.
