Thank you because I just turned 24 & I feel like a failure. Now that I think about it, it probably is from looking at people my age on social media & not understanding how I’m not there myself.
Find your purpose in this Earth, do what you love, life will take care of itself, keep your eyes on the prize and be grateful for even the small things, you will be just fine. At 24 I had two small children , making very little money but God kept me and my babies, we turned out just fine. May God continue to bless you ❤️
As a 24 year old myself, I encourage you to embrace learning adulthood + getting to know yourself in different areas of your life: financially, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.
You’re consistently learning about life, and what your path looks like. Wanting your life to be similar to someone else’s defeats the point of being unique. It also chips away from your happiness + how intentional you are about the present. Where does your energy go: in situations that inspire you, or in situations that discourage you?
That voice in your head telling you to be ashamed of your “failure” is only there to make you feel bad. Just because that thought comes to your subconscious, doesn’t make it be. That’s your opportunity to rewrite your narrative in being a failure. Change you being a failure, to “I’m successful because…”, it can be something as small as your personal goals you accomplished, you having a routine, you being surrounded by ppl who want to see you win, you being at peace with what you have, etc.
As a 30 year old, I’d say that there is nothing wrong with caring about your current position in life. Its good that you notice it now at 24 because some dont until they’re 35/40 and its too late.
But remember that success is subjective. Having a job, apartment, and a hooptie is SUCCESS! Having a million dollars and nice cars doesn’t always mean success. Dont let nobody tell you differently.
