I'm an ex wildland firefighter of ten years. I know how to work my ass off. I will be the first to say, that anyone who claims skaters are lazy should watch this video. I was LITERALLY cringing at how many attempts he made. I would have lost my cool and snapped that fucking board very quickly. I know he didn't intend it that way. But this video gave me the slightest hint at the determination and patience required to learn to skate well. Obviously you must be willing to fail FAR more than you succeed. To be willing to bleed again and again for such a small gain. That level of dedication. building skill layer by painful layer. THAT is awesome. I know internet shit does not really matter. Words are often lost in the undulating mass of the billions. But I would still like to state that skaters earned much more respect from me after this watch. From a firefighting perspective. I would hire Aaron in a second. As he CLEARLY knows how to work on a level that only the hardest jobs in the world can provide. That level of determination, trying to pull a sliver of satisfaction from a day of suffering. Only the strongest people on earth can do that. I know the context is different but I believe the principal to be the same. I know it sounds stupid, but I was VERY impressed with the persistence shown. It makes me want to learn to skate even more now. I look forward to my brutal three month journey in trying to do a simple kickflip. The challenge is too tempting. So thanks for the motivation Aaron, if you ever wanted approval over the internet from a mountain man. You got it.
After reviewing in slow mo, you can see their steps are different. After popping, Tyler's back foot was on the ground whereas Aaron's was floating in the air. I guess Tyler's follow-through gives more vertical pop and lets him keep forward motion to stay with the board.
After popping, Tyler lands with his back foot first, then steps with his front foot to jump with his back foot back unto the board. Aaron is planting his front foot first, popping with his back foot, but never planting it. Tyler has an extra step which propels him forward to better catch the board when it's done flipping. Which is why Aaron was always behind the board...even when he finally doesn't land a couple, it's on a the tail and way too far back...because he doesn't plant his back foot.
Aaron, the main problem I see for you to properly land that trick is that you were sticking the front foot on the ground for support, while Tyler sticks his back foot on the ground. This allows him to use his front foot to take a step before jumping back on the board!
Says the one with no videos on their channel... huh. Anyways, I simply made an observation. I'm in no way saying Aaron is a bad skater, quite the opposite actually. He's very persistent, and his channel inspired me to get my own board! I'm just waiting to have enough cash to buy safety gear, so I don't bust my skull open if I fall trying to learn how to ollie. I plan on doing a "learning to skateboard" series of videos.
Watching this makes me feel better about being a beginner to skating (I'm 20) been watching braille for a long time and just decided not so long ago to start skating and I have huge respect for this channel and the guys within it. I mean I feel rather embarrassed at points when going out to practice, I mean I don't even goto skate parks because i feel like I'll be judged.. but seeing Aaron still learning gives me more confidence and I respect him for putting up these vids, helps us beginners build up more courage within ourselves. anyway thanks guys! prosper and skate on!
+Shawn Slawter I don't know I think its just because he was being sarcastic I mean he wasn't being an ass or anything but I think it could have been toned down just a bit that's all! I still love him tho lol
nope, it's gotta be 1 foot. i've done it with one foot and it went through my legs [Brags Internally] it's easier if you make it a frontside big flip though.
Many people underestimate the power of taking a break! Sometimes all it takes is ten minutes of rest and thinking about something else. This always worked for me when learning to play drums. For more complicated things, it takes one night of sleep and then, the first thing in the morning you can do anything first try.
I love this channel. It's been decades since I last skated. I was always a fan of Rodney Mullen. Would love to see the gang do some flatland rail/primo stuff. Great work.
I actually got a bit annoyed that they didn't notice Tyler doing a step off with the back foot first and then another step with the front foot before catching the board.
Aaron, the one you landed at the end was actually the best in the whole video. Your technique for that trick actually looks a lot cleaner and more technical then Tyler's. You only put your front foot on the ground for a sec and landed, where as Tyler stood on the ground with both feet and then jumped back on. Outdid the "teacher", props.
I'm super comfortable to ride regular, but i'm also super comfortable to push with my left foot. Should I learn to ride goofy? Or should I get comfortable to push with my right foot? Pls help
TechnicalTiger hehehehe so funny oh my gosh. i fucking hate these stupid fucks on youtube. how old r u technical tiger like what fuckin 7? xD xD xD so funny omg!!! fuck off.
Hey. Cool vid... I'm not much of a skateboard aficionado but my brother showed me the video as he's giving skateboarding a try. I could be wrong but I noticed in the video the difference between Tyler and your technique...Tyler's Blackfoot lands on the floor first at the flick where as your back foot hangs when at the flick. Maybe that's the secret to getting the flick right consistently?
So I ordered a "fake penny" cruiser (22 inch) that's says that it can withstand 150 kilograms. Is it legit ? Or will it break easily? Btw I'm like 195lbs give or take
Okay now I don't get it. Aaron's been skating for like 30 years, the guy there has it every try, Brian is filming like 75 tries, and NOONE NOTICES THAT TYLER PUTS BOTH OF HIS FEET DOWN THUS MAKING THE TRICK MUCH MORE EASIER AND MORE STYLISH?!?! And he doesn't tell Aaron that he needs to take a step with his back foot too??? And then jump on it? I mean come on??? How the fuck noone noticed it, not even in the comments?
+waylon gates yea, but why do u want them to do it when you can try it for yourself. They skated a TV, which I think we can't. But skating a board with no grip and no shoes is literally something you can try.
So guys, I am getting new wheels, trucks and bearings for my skateboard, and I was thinking about getting longboard gear for it, should I? And ps I don't really do tricks I just cruise around most of the time
People are saying Aaron was being an ass, but honestly Tyler was over complicated everything. I know what it is like trying to learn from someone who can't explain things the most smoothly, it gets very annoying if you can't figure out what they are explaining. Everyone in the world is sensitive nowadays so what do you guys expect
Look for something really heavy u can drill or bracket onto the bottom or top middle of deck and play skate. Maybe a weight drilled in the middle with brackets.
I may be late to the party, but I noticed a significant difference between the way he does it and you. As he steps off with his front foot his back foot hits the ground first putting weight on his back foot, followed by putting weight on his front food foot. Then he jumps off his front foot putting his back foot on the board first. You on the other hand are planting your front foot on the ground first and trying to scoop the back foot in the air. This is also why your footwork for getting back on the board is difficult. Let me know if this helps :)
OK, so NORMALLY if you are right-handed do your toes face left or right? Left foot forward or behind? Because I am right-handed and I have my left foot forward and push off with my right foot. But I see almost everyone else facing the other way so am I wrong or am I just around a lot of lefties?
6:50 I know they're kinda stupid, but those kind of one footed flips are great to use as like a fidget trick for when you're feeling fidgety. You should totally teach how to do that heelflip/kickflip. I do it like tyler did it, in a two-step kind of motion, but somehow, you always get it in one fluid motion, and it just looks way better.
he's kinda slips off the side which is why he gets so much pop. It builds up tension in the board and causes it to spring back when he kicks and scoops forward and backwards. on top of that he also leaps forward next to his board which leaves him alot closer when it comes to landing. The leap forward and the scoop back and out was the main difference I could see between aaron and him.
When Tyler steps off with his front foot he steps forward with it which makes he momentum continue with the board. Aaron looked like he was stepping off with he front foot back near his other foot so it was more distance to cover and more of a hop to get to the board.
Both of Tylers feet do touch the ground but Mainly because he really stomps that back foot and follows through the board. When his back foot plants for that split second, the board almost pops straight up because all the force is directed downward. He doesnt actually take an extra step Its just something that happens. Tyler also starts the scooping motion RIGHT before he stomps that back foot. Which keeps him balanced when the board actually pops. Aaron's kind of scooping as the board pops. which takes away some of his balance, downward force and holds his weight back. If you notice, Tylers momentum is moving forward the whole time. Aaron's weight kind of pauses and he has to catch up to the board. Tyler's not actually jumping forward. it's more like walking.
Come on, more Tyler! All the tech shit/stairs/gaps aside I've always been impressed with that innovative, imaginative style. No comply is still my favorite trick.
Aaron's problem is that he wasn't taking a large enough step with his front foot after popping the board, hence not propelling him forward enough to keep up with the board flying through the air. If you watch Tyler, he propels himself off has back foot first quite a bit, allowing him to take one large step and then one large jump AFTER his board is in the air.... and thus he can track the board and land on it easily. He's also really good at the pop/rotation which helps obviously
I'm slowly making the Braille team on Skate 3..I have Aaron, Gab and of course Lance the Gawd..I still have 2 people to chose from...Doug an Chris? Doug and..Carlos?
May it be, that he Makes a "Pressed-Pop" or a kind of latepop? Holding the frontfood on the board, while already pressing for the Pop. so the Pop goes more straigt up and it goes higher.
No one seemed to notice that Tyler did it with 2 steps and Aaron did it with one. Really cool trick. I've tried to do something like this but it keeps blasting me in the knees.
One thing I noticed about how Tyler does this trick is he steps off with his back foot first and I think that gives him more reach for the catch. I think the way you do it kind of looks like you're going for a body varial

Are you high on something? this post was far too long.
6:55 he was so stoked like yooooo i did it, did anybody see me????? and immediatly looks at aaron and the camera haha
6:47 "Can you do this" , "Naww" , 2 tries later he gets it lmao
more like a no comply late flip?
His face was like "Dude, did you see that?" "...oh... no one gives a shit..."
+GamingAnarchy i was thinking the Same :D
he didn't notice too lol
didn't want to make him feel bad so waited until he turned his back lol

Dallasmed65 EVERYONE has been on camera in todays world. Even if they doooonntt knnooowww it......
lol now is part of AMSKATER
I love how Tyler at 6:56 lands on the third try what aaron challenged him to do and looks up in dismay to see no one looked 😂😂
After reviewing in slow mo, you can see their steps are different. After popping, Tyler's back foot was on the ground whereas Aaron's was floating in the air. I guess Tyler's follow-through gives more vertical pop and lets him keep forward motion to stay with the board.
It also looks way cleaner.
Because of that they also use different feet to jump off back onto the board.
+Pierre Gonzalez you failed all 3 times gg
true
After popping, Tyler lands with his back foot first, then steps with his front foot to jump with his back foot back unto the board. Aaron is planting his front foot first, popping with his back foot, but never planting it. Tyler has an extra step which propels him forward to better catch the board when it's done flipping. This allows him to use his front foot to take a step before jumping back on the board!
Glad somebody else saw it....
Yea
+momma told me it was ok its just counstructive criticism, chill.
Says the one with no videos on their channel... huh.

+blackcorvo I'm sorry that your so famous with your 75 views lol ahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahhahhahahahaha
"Well I'm not luan " 😂😂😂😂
I feel like that joke went under-appreciated. I actually lol'd at it.
I came to the comments looking for this specifically.
So did I. I think luan's pop is the best skateboarding joke.
+Sergio Ochoa same
+Sergio Ochoa same
I've almost been watching you guys for a year now and you guys still make me happy. you where also the reason I started skating thank you.
did anyone else think aaron was being a lil mean?? or...
How?
+Shawn Slawter I don't know I think its just because he was being sarcastic I mean he wasn't being an ass or anything but I think it could have been toned down just a bit that's all! I still love him tho lol
He was being satire ever heard of it
LieutenantLeafy Here Then that makes him seem even meaner so no I'm sure he wasn't being "satire"
Isys Dotterwick it wasn't meant to be taken seriously

Skate*
Sam tabor and Andy schrock already did it

They did alredy
+Marianae Fugatenhezngu fuckin nerd
The other guy literally took two steps every time lol Aaron was doing a different trick.
nah he just keeps his back foot lower than aaron
+CowardlyMango yeah Aarons back foot was always in the air and he was trying to catch the board instead of just stepping on it
Yeah the kids trick isn't a true No Comply. He walks two steps!
+Michael Hanson Aaron is super funny when he's being a dick lol
Aaron took 2 steps to dumbass
Tyler puts both feet on the ground and jumps forward after he pops. Does that really count as a no-comply?
I'd consider it more to be some type of freestyle trick
Yes it does.
If you look up no comply tre or 360 flip, everyone does it like that
If you check Tyler's Instagram acct he has a couple of them on there where he does them clean with one foot.
nope, it's gotta be 1 foot.
i've done it with one foot and it went through my legs [Brags Internally]
it's easier if you make it a frontside big flip though.
Yes!!! Finally, SKATEBOARDING!!!!
Many people underestimate the power of taking a break! Sometimes all it takes is ten minutes of rest and thinking about something else. This always worked for me when learning to play drums. For more complicated things, it takes one night of sleep and then, the first thing in the morning you can do anything first try.
Aaron is really mean to these kids loool
So glad to see Aaron back properly, and even more glad to see another today I learned
stupid skate shoe laces tied together
that would actually be cancer lol
Lamont holt did that I think
If you have a minecraft picture you're not allowed to dictate what is and what isn't cancer. Deez Nutz have spoken
I died
+Deez Nutz 😂😂😂😂😂
This is a great video for teaching people how to learn. That perseverance and patience paid off!
I don't get the "he's being mean" comments. He could be irritated and angry and still be nicer than nearly all the other skaters on their best days.

Practise makes perfect guys, don't be afraid to fail.
keep practicing English buddy you'll get it
Jose Herrera thanks but it's probably better than yours
Okay well it wasn't a hate comment it was a joke just to let you know
Jose Herrera oh okay, appreciate it :)
+Kaine 3 Practice*
dedication at its best .
great job Aaron!
My main problem with no-complys is how you're supposed to step off with the front foot when your back foot is sitting on the tail?
You drag your heel off and let your toes follow. you're not lifting your front foot off the board
Its one big motion though you don't rest that back foot after removing the other gotta be nice and smooth
ikr I have the same problem
You hop up then put all your weight on your front foot. After a couple try's, you should get the hang of it.
I'm super comfortable to ride regular, but i'm also super comfortable to push with my left foot. Should I learn to ride goofy? Or should I get comfortable to push with my right foot? Pls help
Can you make a frontside big spin tutorial?
Garret Ginner has a good tutorial on it
no they can't sorry
+Doug Campbell who the hell do you think you are ? xD
TechnicalTiger hehehehe so funny oh my gosh. i fucking hate these stupid fucks on youtube. how old r u technical tiger like what fuckin 7? xD xD xD so funny omg!!! fuck off.

+Blasted Breezy they would have to get over a million views to pretty much make any profit
what's a good all around skateboard?
Skate with your hands duct taped to your knees.
Hey.
Aaron was doing a foot plant instead of running alongside his board like Tyler was
So I ordered a "fake penny" cruiser (22 inch) that's says that it can withstand 150 kilograms. Is it legit ? Or will it break easily? Btw I'm like 195lbs give or take
That looks fuckin slick
hey aaron, are you going to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics? they are adding skateboarding.
Aaron!! YOU HAVE IT!!!!
Stupid skate No grip tape no shoes
You can try that yourself. Pretty easy
He could, but is he the one with 1+ million subscribers?
+Skateboard Nerd I don't want to do it doe, I asked Braille not you
Yes
Tyler is very consistent though with that trick
Check him out my channel
Love when Lance and Aaron do videos at different locations, keeps the content interesting.
Lance? It's Brian ambs
Yeah I know, I meant when Aaron or Lance do videos at another location besides Cherry park
mattrc77 mkay.
Stupid Skate glass shard griptape no shoes. ;)
Found Jigsaw
I'd settle for barefoot on lego griptape
not that bad if they're tightly packed. mby screw in the trucks with wood screws backward so they're sticking out of the board
savage
or just re-do the stuck on sand, and do it with fine grains (nearly powder) of glass, might look really cool
Look for something really heavy u can drill or bracket onto the bottom or top middle of deck and play skate. Maybe a weight drilled in the middle with brackets.
I heard if you're early, they reply.
They won't
who cares if they reply or not. they shit and piss like the rest of us. they ain't special.
+Swami Dubuc Nailed it. At least I got it!
say something original and they might
+Tommy D so true at the end of the day everyone is Just a sack of blood and no one is special.. When will people learn that none of this matters
I got this idea at work for what ever series you use it for roofing shingles as grip tape.

"I just had a weird thought."
LMAO😂
I wouldn't consider it a no comply because he's taking more than one step off the board
Everyone does no comply 360 flips like that
It's not a no comply if two feet touch the ground. I do no comply 360 flips with only one foot.
Its still a no comply...Youre wrong.
+Broken Wave do you even skate girl
:0
+Mikey G Do you? If so how long did it take you to atleast do an olly? Not trying to be funny just really asking.
Stupid skate: tighten wheel nuts as tight as possible
so nice to see a new today i learned video
i have a penny longboard but i don't like the plastic deck. is it possible to replace it with wooden deck or not
yes!! make more of these videos!! (brazil here)
really a dope looking trick. I wonder if I could learn it on my dusters cruiser
I watched a ton of Braille videos and finally someone who skates Regular!
OK, so NORMALLY if you are right-handed do your toes face left or right? Left foot forward or behind? Because I am right-handed and I have my left foot forward and push off with my right foot. But I see almost everyone else facing the other way so am I wrong or am I just around a lot of lefties?
NothingInParticular what's the normal way?
Sick trick, definitely going to try to learn this one!
isnt it a kindof vertical laser flip nocomply? cause of the way it turns, it does a heelflip
Did u do skateboard with rollerblade wheels yet?
6:50
I know they're kinda stupid, but those kind of one footed flips are great to use as like a fidget trick for when you're feeling fidgety.
You should totally teach how to do that heelflip/kickflip. I do it like tyler did it, in a two-step kind of motion, but somehow, you always get it in one fluid motion, and it just looks way better.
How long and wide is your skateboard
Brian Ambs deserves something. he filmed for freaking ever.
he's kinda slips off the side which is why he gets so much pop. It builds up tension in the board and causes it to spring back when he kicks and scoops forward and backwards.
on top of that he also leaps forward next to his board which leaves him alot closer when it comes to landing.
The leap forward and the scoop back and out was the main difference I could see between aaron and him.
omg yess these vids are back!!
When Tyler steps off with his front foot he steps forward with it which makes he momentum continue with the board. Aaron looked like he was stepping off with he front foot back near his other foot so it was more distance to cover and more of a hop to get to the board.
Always one of my fav tricks
Tyler is Mr. No Comply 360 Hardflip. Never misses!
You guys have inspired me to finally put my bike life in the past and buy another skate board since my old one is too beat
Good
tyler are you a scooter reder or skateboarder
thank god something that isn't crazy skate or you make it we skate it!! plz do more of today I learned or something
That's probably the coolest trick I've seen!
Literally just came to comment about how good the thumbnail is lol soooo gooood
Come on, more Tyler! All the tech shit/stairs/gaps aside I've always been impressed with that innovative, imaginative style. No comply is still my favorite trick.
"i know well im not luan" haha that made me laugh haha nice one sir Aaron Kyro
I love tricks like these for some reason. Same with late flips.
I love how Aaron is legit doing it and the kid is taking two steps each time
what do you use for slow motion video
just when you think you know what skateboarding is about, you find a whole new side of it. Those no complies are savage AF man
where is this filmed exactly?
One thing I noticed about how Tyler does this trick is he steps off with his back foot first and I think that gives him more reach for the catch. I think the way you do it kind of looks like you're going for a body varial
Aaron your amazing keep up good work
This may be the best quality video I've seen today. Also Braille is sicker than zika
Musta been filmed while Revive was in Cali?
like what size?
This video reminds me how much I miss and love Aaron so much.
"You're not a normal person" 😂😂😂 I died laughing. Keep up the great videos guys!
