TL;DR: Bax Tech doesn't like USB mic's so you should stop using them too. Oh but he still puts an affiliate link so he can make a few dollars when you buy a USB mic through his link. This is what RUclips has become.
Look at you sporting the SHP's! I did a similar comparison between a cheap XLR mic vs a rather expensive USB mic. I didn't go well for the USB. Great Video!!!!!
If you use cheap companies usb mic like fifine & maono then they should really bad in comparison with expensive mics but I have shure Mv7 this mic sound good with But still I feel usb mic sound better than lav or a shotgun mic or even some wireless mics
Stop buying usb mics, or stop buying cheap ass usb mics? Lol, people be saying shit like that over and over and. Yet there are people on youtube that makes much bigger content and can do well even with USB mic so what are you selling to me? LMAO
He's selling quality & value, if you get an USB + XLR mic, you'll later be able to upgrade you mic's setup & have an USB audio interface with 24 bit 192 khz quality (there are even more expensive but better 32 bit audio interfaces, it's expensive, but it's very convenient), rather than USB mic's 16 bit 192 khz, why it matters? First of all It will give you much lower audio noise (& using gain on audio interface doesn't increase noise) & the headroom to edit your microphone's audio & not have worse & distorted audio quality (or it will be unnoticeable), Second it will have lower amount of audio clipping (it happens when audio's loud), yes, there are 24 bit 192khz mics as you thought, but they are more expensive & aren't budget, they are mid range, it's better to get an amp + XLR mic combo at this point, as it becomes an investment from this price range
USB mic vs XLR mic comparison in my opinion is like 4K web-cam vs a photography camera with capture card for PC, they're both expensive, but 4k web-cam is cheaper, but it's still not worth it, due to cameras used for photography having alot superior image quality, less noise (which helps very much when room is dark), & value (you can use camera not only as web-cam, but you can also take high quality pictures with it!)
You gotta be careful with some of your comments. Majority of the people watching these videos and listening to podcast, are doing it on their cell phones or iPads. My point is, a $1500 microphone is not going to make you sound much better than a SE V7 or an SM58, or a more expensive USB mic. Peace
