    Not necessarily impatient but when your key fob freezes because of the cold and you need to get into your car asap (because of the freezing cold! Lol) you might not want to watch a whole story. This was very helpful, thank you!

      I had a moment when someone moaned about the length of the original video :) You then check on their work and see they have one video that went on longer than mine, and could have been explained in 5 seconds :) - GLAD IT HELPED YOU OUT! :)

      Yup, I had to come back inside because I no longer can feel my hands while watching this video outside. My gloves are in the car lol

    How did you get the piece out that covers the hole where you stick your key in to pop off the cover? That's a key part in this i feel.

    • @TechRealityGlasgow

      THere isn't anything covering the hole at all. That's how all the cars look.

      @@TechRealityGlasgow so i went to mine and there's something covering the hole so that I can't insert my key to pop the cover off.

      @@BananaJonesMom that’s weird! Check the other few videos out there doing the same on their ioniq and they all have the small notch. You sure it’s not been covered by something or someone??? Care to post a photo???

    That little space yours sticking the key into, isn't a key hole. That's the light. Your door handles illuminate when you press the unlock tab on your fob

    • @TechRealityGlasgow
      @TechRealityGlasgow  Год назад +2

      Sorry, you are incorrect. The light is in fact within the handle section that you press and hold to open the door, this section is only to cover the keyhole.

    I don't know about this. I clearly hear the electric lock operating when he turns the key. This is fine if your remote battery is flat or if you dropped it in water, but if the car's 12v battery is dead how does this get you in the car?

    • @TechRealityGlasgow
      @TechRealityGlasgow  Год назад

      You are on to another event happen, not what I covered in this, so I don’t quite understand the point you are trying to make about this particular situation? Now, if my 12v battery ever dies on me, I’ll see if I can figure out what to do to get in!

    • @lindatapler8887
      @lindatapler8887 Год назад +3

      Ok so right now my ioniq has been sitting for a couple of months. I just went outside to get in my car and I can't get in because the car battery is dead. So once you pop the actual key out of the fob, and flip the handle cover off (as shown in the video), you expose the hidden keyhole. Use the key to unlock your door. You don't need power to unlock the door with a key. Once you open the car door (driver side), enter the car. You are now sitting in the driver seat. Now, glance down to your left below the speedometer, it'll be level with your left knee. You'll see a button that says "12volt battery reset". Push it. Now the car will start. These new cars have a fail safe on the battery. They won't completely die 100%. Once the car is running you'll have to take it for a drive to recharge the battery

      This will get you in even if your 12 volt battery is dead! It happened to me and we got in then
