I'm French and proud to have had the chance to be born on the soil of this country, so I'm a fervent supporter of France U19 of course!
But I'm also objective, and I think that this year the Spanish U19 Team is above all the other teams, even France, especially France there without its best players, Wembanyama, Coulibaly, etc, all choiced in the NBA draft 2023. I therefore put Spain as the big favorite for the final. Afterwards with us French even if we have a small chance, everything is possible. ^^
You should never underestimate a Bleu de France Team whatever the collective sport. The USA U19 here I'm sure given their eternal arrogance especially in Basketball underestimated the Bleus U19. They paid for this mistake with defeat. ^^
Unfortunately I don't think that Spain U19 underestimate France U19. On the contrary the Spaniards will play with a lot of seriousness and concentration, we know each other too much as Western Europeans and neighbors to underestimate each other each other. ^^
Afterwards, I'm also a proud European and Western European in particular, and therefore I'm very happy to see a 100% Western European Final! 🇫🇷 🇪🇸 🇪🇺

Comme déjà dit avant (en anglais) dans mon premier message, objectivement l'Espagne est la grande favorite de la finale même si avec les Bleus comme toujours surtout dans un sport collectif, tout est possible... Mais les Bleus sans leur meilleure équipe possible ici, sans les Wembanyama (je pense qu'il aurait pu jouer légalement non ?), Coulibaly et autres tous draftés cette année, ce sera difficile face à cette très forte équipe d'Espagne.

The USA always struggles against France becuase they also have great athletes. Look at how many players from France are in the NBA. It's really the second best basketball country atter the USA.
USA team too much individual playing. Needed to run the offense and pass the ball.
European Basketball is famous for always going team first, that's why they don't rack huge numbers individually, and US college basketball is famous for the amount of highlights you see on RUclips.
This isn't the best 19 under team the USA can provide, not even close, Don't over analyze it.

Les français ont fait un match solide en défense je l'avais dit dès la première minute du game, avec une bonne défense et la discipline ils sont favoris et les américains n'ont rien proposé hormis des 3 points et ont tenter de jouer sur le talent et le côté athlétique mais c'est le basket fiba c'est plus que ça 😊

Technical call for Armstrong in the 4th quarter changed the dynamic, even though he scored moment earlier and USA leaded. Then some bad decisions by team USA whilist France played more consistently and we had a winner.

アメリカが負けると思ってた。今回の代表戦見る限りチームプレーも少なかったし、それにしては個人技が抜群なプレイヤーもいない。今まで勝ててきたのは強靭なフィジカル、強いインサイド、ルーズボール、リバウンドが強かっただけ。現にチームプレーが上手い格下のスロベニア相手に負けそうだったし（試合内容ではスロベニアの圧倒的勝ち）
アメリカはチームプレーを学ぶこと、インサイドに固執しない事が課題

@@user-ky3mc3ln7j 上手いかどうかも問題だけどやっぱりフィジカル面、インサイド、が劣ってるなあって今回の代表戦をみて俺は思った。やっぱりバスケは外よりもインサイドの方がシュートが決まる確率が高いから、インサイドを攻める回数（試行回数）が多いアメリカ相手には序盤はいい勝負してるように見えたけど、疲労と共に日本は外のシュートの確率がだんだん落ち、アメリカは同じ確率を保ったままインサイドを攻め続けていき、徐々に点数離されていったって感じの試合だったと思う。中国代表はフィジカルが強い選手が多くてアジアで1番アメリカに対抗出来てた。日本も中国のようにフィジカルさえ強くなっていけば割と強豪の欧州とも競っていけると思う。

No offense to France, but its really sad the state of USA basketball these days........given the populations of the two countries one would think that the USA would have a huge advantage just by depth alone, let alone talent, but here is France, putting out not only better talent, but had more depth.....incredible......so Congrats to France, but the USA has to seriously consider what it is doing as far as recognizing and developing young talent....it appears like everything else in the USA, its ruined by politics and incompetence when it comes to decision making as far as who gets to weeded out of their system and therefore, this is what happens.....ridiculous....also, no offense to the kids on the USA team as they are fine players, but its hard to believe there aren't better players being ignored or overlooked for whatever reason......

The American basketball problem: good players, good skills, but they don't play as a team. They do not play intelligently in a group. it's clear they want to be individual NBA stars.

Whether we want to admit it or not, the world has caught up to us. You can't just rely on athleticism and low basketball IQ to win games. Europeans are taught fundamentals and play a team game first. We haven't figured that out. It has nothing to do with talent and everything to do with the difference in philosophy between Europe and the US regarding how the game should be played.
