This song kinda reminds me of a friend I met online in vrchat. (This is a kinda long sad story about them) ... He was sick and it was only getting worse. I knew the moment I met him that he was hurting just by the way he spoke. He tried to hide it from everyone but I saw his pain. We hung out in vrchat almost every day for 2 years. He had something that made him bedridden and very sick. His friends he had from before all abandoned him because they just couldn't bare to see him like that. He wanted to just die so the suffering would end but that changed with me. He wanted to live his life because of me. After those 2 years he never got back on vrchat so I don't know what happened. It's been about 4 years now since I met him. I hope the best and that he got better but in the back of my mind I know there's a possibility that the worst happend. I just wanted to distract him from it so he could smile and be happy even for a little while when we played vrchat together... The last thing he told was that if something happened to him to continue living my life, and to never unfriend him on vrchat... I'm still his friend on vrchat and still hoping he'd get back on one day...
I listen to this song and I imagine me talking to my younger self. My mental health started to fall at 12 years old. Now 18, I'm still fighting it, but I've learned and I'm trying to get better. I'm at year six and I can see the light now, but most days it's too bright to get closer. I'm still battling the dark thoughts, and some days I want to just sink into them. That the dark days feel more familiar than the healing. So for now, until I can find the strength to reach out and look at the light, I'll just make sure I make it to day seven.
Normally I like to listen to more loud and heavy music like heavy metal or rock but this is really good the voice is just straight up beautiful and its soothing in a way. The lyrics are also good too personally I cant relate to them but its kind of like a story of sorts and that's something I've never really heard in a song

At least 8 years now. I do c hope, actually more like a candle, on and off very unstable hope. but I survive so surprised. Maybe I'm just lucky. I'm proud at times and sometime it when to regret of still here. I guess its confusion stage for me.
