Got one of those, the folding hinge went bad on my 5th or 6th ride, it took me a lot of effort to fold it, I noticed the magnets that keep the bike folded were misaligned and didn't touch each other anymore, when I tried to unfold the bike again I was unable to do so, the hinge was deformed. The bike is currently in Decathlon i'm awaiting news.
@@WhatsDaveUpTo indeed. Or look around for a used Tern bike, these have overall better components (especially higher gear ratio). The tilt bikes have poor lights and brake pads, I also changed the saddle and got faster tires. Now it runs like an oiled deer.
A bit late but is there any way to rectify the lock catch problem? This has also been a problem for me in addition to a more critical problem where I am unable to completely unfold and secure the bike anymore either.
Hi Henry, Apologies for the delay in responding. B-Twin have had a non-obligatory recall on the lock catch. If you take it in they should be able to assist. This has been the case in the UK, we are unsure if the guidance extends to other countries. The change is not essential but does help the experience. There was no charge for the work done when we took ours in. Best thing to do is take it in to store and see what they say.
@@carlosbarreto4695 only 4months ago. Tried to make the screw a bit tighter. It is better but notnperfect. I am gonna take it back if they can change it..
@@extracoolboy yes its better but doesn't completely remove the sound. The problem is well known: it comes from the material of the wheel, it causes noise when touched by the stock break rubber pads. To fully supress the sound there's 2 ways : changing the brakes and replacing it, or changing/ grinding/coating the wheel structure. Either way you guys should visit your local Decathlon / Btwin store and ask for one of thoses options.
i tested this at a Decathlon outlet and was told max height : 1.9m and max weight : 120kg I imagine tire pressure has to be bumped up if one is close to the max weight limit?
We did find over a bit of time the brakes were quite noises, but a bit of adjusting sorted it out. What was a bit more frustrating is the hammer head lock doesn't quite always connect correctly, which can be a frustration. However when it comes down to the price (£250 in the UK) some will view this as a price worth paying for an otherwise effective bike.
No mention of rider weight limit is it capable of handling 110kg - 120kg like the 1 second tilt? No disrespect but I’m guessing your around 112kg by your height and size.
We believe it's 100kg but best bet is to refer to the manufacturer. Simon who tested it is actually just over 100kg and still uses it regularly without any apparent problems. It was serviced recently and no concerns were raised by the mechanic.
@@VeloVision Also I've seen that the maximum height is about 1.85 cm , I was curious if it's ok for a guy like me that has 1.93 cm - would give it a try tomorrow at the shop

He is pretending to didnt realise the noise of the brakes but the brakes are noiser than it looks in the video
Yup, bought the Tilt 100 and the front brakes are noisy af
It's because of the wetness. That's not a real problem. This can happen on many bikes on rainy days.
Nice matching gloves and helmet mate
Had a bike like that in Brussels. The easy fold/unfold was the best.
Were can I get one in Brussels?

cool review, thanks! A quick question: Is the colour fluorescent?
The colour is just neon coloured paint. It is not reflective at night time.
Love my bike but the seat keeps slipping down. Check it out before u buy it. Other than this it is a good bike
I've seen this kind of complain over and over again on Decathlon's website.
