Excellent tutorial. I missed the basics of switching between 2010 and 2012 settings, and this brought that to my attention. The rest of the video was most helpful for me to understand how to make good use of the new settings. Many thanks!

Clear explanation at a level of detail that was right for me. Only suggestion: use the before/after to show the differences between the processes or sliders. Might be easier to see than switching back and forth.

Cool and clear explanations even for a foreigner like me. When is the part 2 released?

Thanks for sharing, Mike. Could you also comment on the impact on dodge and burn, if any?

Great job at explaining a lot of these things!
But I do have one issue that is bugging me. When I use Lightroom 4 to edit a photo, you are saying that the automatic highlight recovery kicks in. That's awesome (and it does work well), but why is it when I hit the auto exposure button it then introduces MORE blown highlights. What would be your recommendation for photos that seem to be a bit underexposed?
I am still new to Lightroom 4 and just trying to figure out some things!

Can you make your presets available for us to download? In particular, the LR3/LR4 defaults and that "LR4 True Linear" contrast curve. Thanks.
