As a biker myself who has put many miles on different Harley’s this story touched me. Peace
glad you could relate… please share this story with others. Thanks for watching.
Great story. I miss the days of my dad’s stories and riding side by side. He told me a thousand times, “Girl, you’re only judged by two things that matter. Your word and what you bring to the bring to the table. Never break your word and always bring more than everyone else.” This made me think of him. ❤
That's beautiful. I know what you mean about missing those stories. It's wonderful that you have such a powerful lesson from your dad to remember him by.
As a former business owner, integrity prevails. Honesty is the best policy. You never have to remember what you say, as long as you said the truth. I live by this. Eureka, Mo.
This one hit home. Thank you for sharing. I walked into Chunky River Harley Davidson in Meridian, Mississippi one afternoon and there was a gentleman walking across the showroom floor towards some offices. I excused myself and asked if he worked there. He said “sort of”. I asked him if he had time for a few questions and he said sure. We talked for nearly an hour about all things motorcycles and our experiences through the years, favorite rides, etc. After a while I mentioned the new Road Glide at the end of the aisle was a beautiful machine. He agreed the said well, since you’ve never owned a Harley before, let me get a salesman to walk you through the features. When I met the salesman, i asked him who was the man I had been talking to. Turned out he was the owner of the dealership. I was amazed that with all of his responsibilities he took an hour of his time to have a heartfelt conversation with a total stranger about our passion for motorcycles. And yes, I took that beautiful machine home that day.
Thanks 🤩
This story really hits the emotions! When I heard Vance talk about Jet's father, I truly felt the power of kindness! A profound lesson about loyalty and the value of a person.
As a fellow rider, I love stories like this. The biking community is like a big family! 🏍
Lovely 😻 … Please share and like this story..

My local HD dealer was a woman I had known since I rebuilt a pan head in the 70s. Honest and friendly folks there. She sold as she is about 80 now. Went in to the parts department and was greeted by a guy with an attitude. I’m done there after 50 years!
That's a bummer! It's frustrating when a place you've been loyal to for so long changes, especially when it's due to a shift in customer service. Hopefully, you can find another shop that values your business and treats you right.
So True. Glad someone knows what behind a person's word.
This story is about making customers for life. With honor and integrity. St.Petersburg Florida.
Thanks for sharing Steven 😊😊
Went to Bumpus in Murfreesboro, Tn to buy a new H-D. I was in my work clothes couldn't even get a single frigging sales person to talk to me!! Piss on them I'll keep my cash!!
As a young man I left my Southwest Virginia home to travel the Western States, Arizona, Colorado, California, Oregon, Washington, but I am right back where it all started 50 years ago. I do believe I pass by this dealership while traveling across Arizona in the year 1989-1993. Beautiful country there.
At that time, I still had my 1972 Bultaco 250 Flat-Tracker which was my 12th bike I bought a 1993 KLX in Washington state that year brand new, my very first new bike ever. I now have two Harley's, both of which I ride when the weather is clear, and the temperature is above 50. Arteritis is painful in cold wet weather conditions.
My Grandpa and Father did business the Old Fashion way, Your Word, and a Firm Handshake makes the Deal confirmed.
Stevo 2025
Hey Stevo, that's a cool story! Traveling all over the West and ending up back home, that's something. Crazy to think you might have even driven by the dealership back in the 90s! A '72 Bultaco, wow, that's a sweet ride. Two Harleys now, nice! I get it about the weather - arthritis is no joke. And I'm with you 100% on the handshake and your word - that's how business should be done. Thanks for sharing your experience! If you dug the video, a like, subscribe, and share to even just one person would be awesome and really help me out. Appreciate you watching!
@@StorytimewithSiren Hey thanks for the thumbs 👍.
Just for your information, I might be traveling your way again soon as the price of Fuel comes down some. It's still a bit high for my budget. My one and only kid is going to school out there. I surely would love to see your Bike show room.

Biker and mechanic from down under, Australia. Nice story.
Live in a world nowadays where everyone tries to cheat everyone else. You need something? Don't ever reveal that fact unless you absolutely have to. Desperately need a car? Pretend you don't. Otherwise, salesman will try to cheat you. If you're a Salesman, watch out for customers with fake sob-stories. Just yesterday, drove 15 miles out of my way to get my car inspected. Garage I've been going to for over 20 years now. Same owner. Very inconvenient for me. No place for customers to sit and wait. Last year, spent 9 hours sitting quietly at a local Fast Food place. Waiting for a surprise emergency repair on my car. Despite that, went back again this year. Treated like garbage for the lamest of reasons. Left. Never going back again. End of an Era.
Another garage 3 blocks away from my home. They cheat everyone. But they cheat locals a bit less. Got a spot for customers who want to sit and wait. Free cup of coffee too. Next Wednesday, I'm going there. Nowadays, one garage is the same piece of overpriced establishment as another. Might as well go to nearest one with seating for customers.
love stories thank you

20+ year Harley mechanic. I quit working at Dealership’s years ago. I couldn’t stand “profit politics” and the strait-up lies told to customers in sales and service. Only work for independent aftermarket shops now, where I can tell the customer the truth.
Interesting. What kind of lies were being told, if you can share?
I had more than one Service Manager ask me to falsify service tickets. Sign off on work that hadn’t been done. Charging customer for 4-5 hour service when only a basic fluid change had been done. Too many different money grab tactics to list.
You should understand, most Tech’s are paid by “flag hours” so, the crooked Tech’s are more than happy to follow orders and charge 5 hours for a 30 minute oil change.
Not every Tech is like this but, the honest Tech’s generally run lower hours (because they are actually doing the work) so, they may face grief from the upper management for “why their numbers are lower than everyone else’s”?
What u said is 100% right God bless u

Big business and super stores ran our old school bike shops out. Harley is a T-shirt and poker chip store now. No old bikers standing around drinking coffee, or beers, talking about panheads. 90% of these guy couldn’t figure out how to kick start one.
So true! It's sad how much the culture has changed. I miss the days when you could actually learn something from the guys who'd been riding for decades.

AWESOME STORY AND THATS HOW IT ALWAYS USED TO BE!! NOW NOT ONLY DO THE STORES JACK UP 🔝 PRICES, BUT EMPLOYEES MAKE IT WORSE!! THEY ACT ENTITLED THAT COMPANY SHOULD BE HONORED TO HAVE THEM WORK THERE BUT, BUT, THEY ACT LIKE WE ARE BOTHERING THEM IF WE NEED HELP OR HAVE A QUESTION!!! ESPECIALLY THE YOUNGER GENERATION!! I HATED THE FACT THAT A LOT OF STORES ARE CLOSING, BUT I SEE WHY!! WHO WANTS TO GO INTO A STORE OR COMPANY WHEN EMPLOYEES ACT THAT WAY AND TREAT YOU THAT WAY!!! JACKIN' SOMEONE UP FOR PERSONAL GAIN SHOULD REALLY BE ILLEGAL AND CARRY A HUGE FINE OR IT SHOULD BE PLASTERED ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA!!! EMBARRASS THE F*CK OUT OF THEM!
Until they come back no deal.!
Great, but several places in the video, the captions are wrong.
Thanks for your feedback.. I will definitely consider that
@@StorytimewithSiren It doesnt detract from your story, except I cant help reading it, since its right there on the screen, at the same time I'm watching the video.

Yea,you won't find this kind of integrity in a dealership anymore. "No honor among theives "seems to be the new norm.I will never buy from a dealership again .Got SCREWED twice, never again. H-D now stands for "Honor-Deleted "
